What a great series! This 2nd book in the series focuses on Morrison "Aces" Caldwell, middle brother to Hendrix and Jagger and single Mom Hailey. They meet in a parking lot in Vegas after a fender bender and after a night of hot pleasure, Morrison, a professional gambler is smitten. Hailey is married to a douchebag gambler husband who is emotionally abusive, she also has a three year old daughter Marisa. Monte, the a-hole husband basically bought Hailey in a card game and now she is held captive in this abusive marriage until she pays him back the money he used to "buy" her.Hailey has had a hard life and doesn't trust very easily, but Morrison is amazing in his patience with her. Morrison is cool, funny, compassionate, and a softie under that cool exterior. One thing I really liked about him was his willingness to let Hailey know upfront that he was crazy about her, he didn't play any games. He was also so sweet to her daughter. Hailey took a while to trust Morrison, and at times, I was irritated with her bc she was making Morrison pay for the jacked up relationship she had with Monte, her baby daddy. Morrison made some tremendous sacrifices for her and at one point I wanted to yell at her: really? What else do you want him to do to prove us love for you?!!Slowly but surely Hailey realizes that Morrison is the real deal and she eventually realizes that she loves Morrison as much as he loves her. The only part of the book I disliked and to be honest, didn't really get was at the end when Monte is trying to justify his actions as being protective of Hailey, REALLY? That didn't make sense and the fact that Hailey was talking to Monte like she could follow his logic just seemed incredulous to me.But other than that, it was a good book, I look forward to Jagger's story. The resident stool warmer who keeps marrying everyone, Jared, is hilarious and deserves his own book.

His momma didn't raise no fool, but when it comes to the game, can Morrison fool them all or will his bluff be called? This book captures your heart and never lets go. It's a true testament to all the single moms out there that fight the fight to give their children the very best they can!

this was a 4.5 star read for me. from the alpha male in Morrison to the single mom, Hailey, trying to be her strongest and do what's best for her daughter, it all resonated and hit me with the feels. especially morrison with Marisa, the little girl. I mean ,pull on my heart -strings- beautiful.I love the way Mj and Chelsea write together. it's seemless, and I think that's key to any writing duo; you can't tell where one ended and the other picked up. not only that but they make their men so damn desirable. and so damn noble.I related to this story, craved this story to be my reality someday. so for me, this was a perfect read, a perfect book. from the Vegas drama, to the reason behind it- which, like Hailey, I'm afraid to believe - to Morrison giving her choices, to the heat up my pages intimacy, to the way Morrison is with Marissa. it was just a spectacular book. highly recommended

I wasn't sure it could get better for me than Hendrix....but O My did it ever!! I loved Morrison in the first book and love him more now. He was of course a wild boy with a Caldwell heart. The way he was with Hailey was so sweet and once he in he's still in. He was so sweet with Marissa too. He is all alpha male though through and through. He stands up for the people he loves and will stand behind them till the end. Whats not to love about that right. And poor Hailey all she went through and still so strong. It was like life and her were just never on the same page until some jacka** blocks her in . LOL "In the game of love, the Queen of Hearts is the wild card. She is unpredictable. She is untamed. She sees beauty in the ugliest of situations. She knows what the heart desires, and she make take her time about giving it, but when she's ready, she lays it all before your feet."The end was amazing I loved it so much. FYI I Love Jared so much Lol he is too funny. Loved this book defiantly check it out. Can't wait for the next one!!

Morrison is all about the show, when in Vegas he is Aces and it’s all about the women and the money. Then he meets Hailey and with one kiss he’s a goner. Hailey “hard knocks” has definitely had her share of hard knocks. She is trying to get her life back on track for her and her little girl. Being brought up thinking everything is a transaction it is really hard for her to accept or ask for help, but when Morrison finds out about the trouble she is in he just wants to help. He wants to be a good man in a bad world and he is exactly that for Hailey and her little girl. Hailey can’t accept he just wants them and it takes a lot for her let him know she just wants him too. This is a very hot, loving story with lots hurdles to overcome, but they are so worth it. This story gave me hope that there really are good people out there in this big bad world.

Loved Morrison story. Loved the way you had the card references.The ace's story Morrison told was golden.Also the ass story was the best.Now for Jagger's story.

Morrison Caldwell/Slick/Aces is the middle Caldwell brother and makes his living as a card shark trying to earn enough money to have a life that his Momma would have wished for her sons. Morrison isn't looking to settle down just like Hendrix wasn't but when the right person walks into your life you will do what you have to in order to be the good in a world of bad.Hailey has a debt to pay and its been like that her whole life, daughter of Prostitute and married off at a young age to save her the same fate as her momma. Wanting a better life for herself and her daughter she tells her man that she's leaving unfortunately for her he wants payment of his debt basically everything he has ever bought her and their daughter, he wont let her go easy.Go get your copy and see what happens when Hailey comes face to face with Morrison Caldwell or as he's known in Sin City Aces you wont be disappointed.

These ladies never fail. Couldn't put this book down. Loved how Morrison wanted Hailey but never overly pushed, he knew what she had through and didn't force things. I loved that Hailey was strong for both hurt and her daughter. The banter in this book has you laughing but also feeling the love and loyalty of the Caldwell family. <3

OMG……… I absolutely love these books.I have always been a fan of MJ's,No spoilers from me, all I will say is if you like angst that leads to HEA's then this is 1 for you
