Does it come with the case and Apple Pencil?

People love to vilify Apple but almost no tablet on the market comes with a case and keyboard or pencil, unfortunately, but that’s not always a bad thing, people who don’t need those shouldn’t have to have those added into the cost.. a $329 tablet would be most likely $500 if it included those.

BEWARE: THE ONE I RECEIVED A COUPLE DAYS AGO, THE CARD INSIDE THE WHITE BOX WAS LABELED “NEW IPAD 8/10.2 (2019/2020)”, but the label pasted on the outside of the back of the box said "9th generation"

The 2021 64GB Apple 10.2-inch iPad with Wi-Fi is the 9th Generation model and the best bang for your buck iPad/Tablet on the market at only $300, period. No, it does not come with a $100 Apple Pencil (1st generation only since it is not compatible with the Gen 2 pencil at $130-$150) or it would cost at least $400, nor does it come with an Apple Smart Keyboard that would add another $50 to $200 (depending upon make, model, case, etc) on top of the very reasonable $300 price tag. If you really need one, I do not, then you can buy one separately and the rest of us can save the $100 to buy a nice case/keyboard or just save the money. If you don't know whether you need one or not, then you do not. If you do know whether you need an iPad Air or iPad Pro, then you do not need one, but if you can afford it and have no idea, then buy one, otherwise save your money and start with this model. You can always sell it and upgrade later if you find it does not fit your needs which it will not if you think this will replace your home PC tower or laptop computer. Think of this as a glorified, oversized iPhone with a giant screen and brilliant resolution for viewing pictures, surfing the web, etc, etc. This is an Apple product through and through, expensive but works great, however with Apple you are lucky if they include a charger/data cable with a wall plug to charge it. I'm on my 4th iPad (Gen1, Gen3, Gen6, Gen9) since they were introduced and have handed down the older ones as they start to need many more frequent charges, ran out of storage space, or were too slow for my needs and could no longer be upgraded to the latest iOS. They hold up very well except the batteries will eventually need constant recharging or replacing. I still need to carry a secure laptop for work, but also like to tinker with my tower PC by buying something to upgrade it every year so I can still run the latest software I need/want for my personal gaming machine, everything I do with my new iPad except make phone calls which is why I only buy the Wi-Fi models and mostly all I need an iPhone for other than a few pictures and the occasional video which I never watch again. Normally I would say buy the best you can afford, but with an iPad, just buy the best you really need.

Will i have to pay a monthly bill for this ipad? i won't be using it to call or text

You do not have to pay monthly if you get the wifi version and not wifi/cellular. The Ipad works through the internet via your email address, so you can facetime and text to other apple users
