A great product - an easy way to take MCT oil along with you "on the road"
A few years ago it was hard to find organic MCT oil at all; nowadays there are several companies making high quality MCT oil from organic coconuts -- and a few companies like this one making the MCT oil available in capsules. It's nice to live in a time when products like this are available, making it much easier to keep your brain supplied with high quality fats as the day goes along. What I appreciate about this product is that it's high quality; it's made from organic coconuts; and it's an easy way to take MCT oil during the day. When I say it's high quality, one indication is that there were no "leakers" in the two bottles I received. (I once ordered some MCT oil capsules from another company (NOW); some of the capsules had broken open and leaked all over the inside of that company's bottle, coating them all with a rancid taste. I had to throw them out. I haven't experienced that problem with this brand or other brands.) Another is that when I've bitten into the capsules to check the freshness, there's no rancid taste; the oil tastes fresh and pure.HOW I TAKE MCT OILFor me, taking MCT oil is part of a regimen. I start most mornings with bulletproof coffee (a cup of coffee blended together with a tablespoon or two of MCT oil and some butter or cream, and a little stevia). I also like taking some MCT oil during the day, even when I'm on the road. These capsules are an easy way to do so. I just throw some in a little jar along with a few other supplements, and take them with my lunch.I got into taking coconut oil and MCT oil because I was having some mood issues, short term memory problems, and difficulty focusing sometimes; those problems are pretty much non-existent when I take MCT along with a few other supplements. I had also read Dr. Mary Newport's account of how coconut oil and MCT oil benefited her husband, who was suffering from Alzheimer's, something I'd like to avoid if possible. Her husband's story made me wonder if MCT and coconut might not only help with the symptoms of dementia, but help prevent it from happening in the first place. There's no hard scientific proof of this, but some logical reasons to think it could be true. So far so good; I'm 64, and feel as sharp and clear as I did when I was a kid, as long as I eat right and take MCT along with some other supplements. The supplements I take along with MCT include Solgar B12 (the sublingual kind in a little dropper bottle), Jarrow PS (phosphatidyl serine), krill/fish oil, pantethine, and, sometimes, organic coconut oil capsules. I'll take 'em in the morning then take them again along with lunch and, if I'm working a long day, in the afternoon. My lunch is usually a can of sardines and some celery, carrots and cherry tomatoes. I've learned to avoid sweets and avoid anything made from grains, and base most of my diet around fresh veggies, high quality fats and oils, and high quality proteins. These foods and supplements go together well and, along with avoiding grains and most other carbs, give me a mental and physical boost which keeps me sharp and focused for the entire day.P.S. To anyone thinking of adding MCT oil to your diet, just one caveat: be careful not to overdo it. The first time I tried it, I took a whole tablespoon; I was lucky there was a bathroom nearby. Start with just a little... one or two caps a day for the first week or two... then gradually add more. Otherwise you may experience an upset stomach and a case of "the runs." After that, you can build up to taking a couple of tablespoons (or the equivalent in capsules) a day.

Quality Product
I started taking MCT oil back in the beginning of November, mainly to help with my mental faculty. I bought these capsules because I thought it would be far more convenient to take every day (no mess, easily traveled). So far, I am very pleased with my purchase.I have noticed an increase in my energy that is stable over the course of the day, as well as a loss in weight - although this might be due to a change in diet (veganism) and in increase in physical activity.I will be purchasing this product again.

The perfect bullet-proof coffee.....no matter WHERE you are !
I am SO PLEASED with these soft gel capsules! They make it super easy to have my bullet-proof coffee no matter where I am! I noticed that they are fresh....so each capsule is strong and has all the MCT benefits. I had been using MCT oil (a different brand) in the liquid form....but quickly noticed that the effects were strong for the first fewdays of opening a bottle., but then seemed to lose their super power.Problem solved! I will stick with these MCT Oil Capsules...easy to use and they melt very quickly in hot coffee.Great product....great price...easy to use....what more could a gal ask for??? I did try another brand of the capsules....they were not even close from the ones sold by Young Life. I am a customer for life !

Improved Energy and Focus!
I can't fully address all that I expected from these capsules, as I have only taken them for a little over a week. However, I can say that I do notice my energy level is sustained throughout the day and I actually become tired at an appropriate time! I notice a slight change in my focus and it is an improvement! Weight issues, is something that I won't rate because I am having Thyroid issues that don't give an accurate picture in such a short period of time. All considered for the amount of time I have been taking these I would say they are a winner!

Who knew? This stuff works!
I seldom leave a review on a product because, frankly most of the supplements I have tried over time have never delivered any results worth mentioning. However, this time is different. Since I HATE the taste of coconut, cooking with it and putting it on my food is not an option with me, so I looked for coconut oil in capsule form. Then, through research (being on the Keto diet) I learned that MCT oil is one of the best fats you can feed your brain, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting anything. Honestly, I bought it more for my husband than myself, as his doctor has him on a Keto-like diet to improve his cognitive function. In trying to be a support to him, I am living on the same diet. I bought it for his brain, but within 24 hours of being on it myself, I couldn't believe the way it was acting as a natural appetite suppressant for me! People warned that I might have digestive issues if I took too much, so I've been taking 2 capsules 3 times a day with meals (as has my husband). This stuff is (quite by surprise) the magic pill I was looking for to suppress my appetite and help me in my diet struggle. I have no idea if this will work this way for others, but I would certainly suggest you try it to see! I am turning 60 this year and losing weight is so hard compared to when I was younger. This worked for me. Young Life MCT Oil, I'm yours for life!

Tiny dose per capsule-I should have read the fine print more carefully.
I think the dose of MCT oil per capsule is too small. I use MCT oil in my Bulletproof coffee in the morning, and one teaspoon has as much MCT oil as 14 capsules of this. I was looking for a convenient way to dose in the afternoon, but taking 14 capsules doesn't make sense. The quality seems great. I should have read this more carefully on the product description: "As a dietary supplement take 3 softgels up to 5 times daily with food." It is convenient but too expensive for me for this kind of need. I may take advantage of the money back guarantee...
