For the money, nice tools. Packaged well in a nice tool kit. Does include some spring pins. Between this and a basic watch battery replacement kit, you have everything you need to have a little side hustle for summer concert money. Instruction book is included, and YouTube can help too.

Solid product

The only thing I needed was a tool to remove the watch back. It's the type with notches requiring a tool to unscrew it. After looking at dozens of offerings, I chose this one, thinking the adjustable 3-bit tool should work best. At the outset there was time consuming trial-and-error to select which bits to use, as none were "just right" for the notches in the watch back. After inserting the bits, I was able to adjust the tool to fit 3 notches, but the positions couldn't be locked and they had so much play that what should have been a simple procedure was a grueling challenge to "get a grip". The tool handle turns to adjust one pin, and trying to grasp the handle without losing the pin's position was near impossible. A diagram showed turning the back clockwise for removal. I was sure this was wrong, but when I finally managed to get a good hold with 3 pins the cover wouldn't budge. It had me wondering if Japanese watchmakers unscrewed things backwards, like Brits drive cars on the left instead of the right. But I stuck to my guns and persisted with counter-clockwise determination. After much swearing and many attempts, the cover finally budged, and I succeeded in installing a new battery. For the price, there's a lot of other tools for working on little things, and watchband parts (which I'll probably never use); but I wonder if the cheaper tool with 2 pins might be easier to use. Maybe with practice I'll appreciate this unstable 3-pin tool more. Hopefully, it'll be easier next time.

I bought this kit because I was tired of paying 20 dollars or more every time one of my several watches needed a new battery. I still like wearing watches and I have several of them that I wear for different occasions. I have 5 such watches and they all use different sized batteries (of course) so I also purchased each type of battery in bulk, which also saved me a lot of money. I didn't know how well this kit would work, but I have to tell you that I replaced the battery in each of my watches, all of which required a slightly different approach to removing and replacing. I was able to do all of them with this one kit. If you still enjoy wearing watches, I would recommend this kit if you are handy and want to save some money. In my case it paid for itself with one replacement.

This kit has all I'll ever need for watch back removal for battery replacement or band length adjustment. The tools are easy to use and are of a good quality. I'm not sure how or why "Easy to Remove" is a rating criteria, hence no stars there.
