I bought this for the DHA. I think I underestimated the smell and taste of the vegan algae powder. It smells like the fish tank area of a pet shop. I’ve never tasted fish tank water to say if it tastes like it too. I have to prepare myself to take it and it still gets me every time! I’ve struggled to swallow it due to the taste. It has an immediate taste when swallowing and then remains afterwards. I haven’t had a taste with pregnacare or seven seas. 3 stars is based on taste and smell. No idea how effective it is.

I usually purchase the pregnacare brand however when I saw that this prenatal was only 1 per day as well as each bottle lasting 3 months, I thought it was a no brainer to try out, and I am very glad I did!The tablet size of new leafs prenatal vitamins are not small, however they are not massive either, considering the amount of nutrients in tablet, It makes sense that it is large (I would rather this way then a tiny pill which has barely any vitamins inside) also bear in mind that it is only 1 per day as not like 2 or 3 from other brands.Each tablet also has a really high amount of vitamins and nutrients squashed in which is really great as I now know that I my baby and I are getting all the nutrients we need. Bear in mind, I also do have a healthy diet.Lastly, I think it Is fantastic that they have included VEGAN DHA in each tablet, that is really an added bonus.All in all, very happy and satisfied and I will repurchase for my last trimester.

They do smell awful but you do get used it, I'll be ordering again.Content wise they match up to the Pregnecare ones I usually take, but they smell horrific. They also leave a really funny aftertaste in your mouth which takes a while to go. Won't be getting them again despite the great value for money.

The tablets are a large oblong shape and are really difficult to swallow ! They are also foul tasting and have a really strange odour. That being said I am satisfied with the dosage and amount of vitamins inside this tablet, aswell as being relatively low budget but I won’t be purchasing again

Products packaging does not match the image shown nor on the manufactures website!! Very worrying considering these are for PREGNANCY.Not sure if I will even use them now. Personally I’d AVOID

I have never had a prenatal vitamin before so I don’t know what to expect. It’s so smelly, leaves disgusting residue inside the mouth and is large and difficult to swallow.

They are quite large and some would find them hard to swallow. They also smell , but i expect anything that is quite good for you (vitamin wise) to smell unlike the synthetic others. Maybe hard to stomach when feeling nauseous, but hold your nose. Ill still be using them all.

I like the composition and ingredients proportion. Almost everything is 100% of NRV, exception for calcium (15%) - you don't need a lot of that, and magnesium (15%) - you may sleep all the day round, if overdose. It's a good supply of Vit E, D3 and folic acid, but all the rest is 100% of NRV, so you know that you're not exceeding your daily dose significantly.I never expect vitamins to be tasty, so I don't mind the taste. I take them with water and never chew as they are not chewables.
