Recently I purchased a battery light for a dark landing in my home. It did ok but was weak. Of course Amazon sent me an email say "hey, look" and I did. The Zhoppy had no reviews or comments. But it looked good and Most of all said the battery lasted up to 4 hours. But the price was fantastic so I bought three of them. These lamps do last 4 hours ( on low light, but that's pretty bright). When one goes dim I switch it out to another. Takes about 2 hours to charge. Recently I purchased 3 more. Something about a modern portable light that's convenient. I think these lamps are the best available for the price. Great gift ideas too.

Very nice desk lamp for under $15. Setup was easy enough for the basics of setting the time and date. For the alarms and such you will probably need to look at the instructions. They are fairly well written for one of these Chinese imports. The few grammatical errors and poorly translated terms in no way prevent you from understanding the instructions.Durability wise it feels sturdy enough to survive being knocked over on a desk without any issues. It might survive falling off the desk onto carpeted office floor but probably would not make it if it fell from desk height to a hard surface like concrete or tile.The light is bright enough for just about any needs. I use it when reading tiny serial numbers on electronics. It really helps. The color changing mood light ring at the bottom would be nicer if you could select a color and leave it rather than having it cycle through all of them. Not really a big deal just a thought.It works just fine running off the battery but to keep it charged it needs to be plugged into a powered USB port. It comes with the cable but not the charger so you will need a standard USB charger. It requires the standard 5 volts and greater than.5 amps and if you are like me you have plenty laying around from various old cell phones and such. I’m using the 5v 1a Amazon charger that came with a Kindle I think. Works just fine. You could plug it into a powered USB port on a PC but I wouldn’t for security reasons. You just have no way of knowing what’s going on inside one of these devices.The LCD is very big and the time numbers are roughly 1” high x 1/3” wide and very easy to read as long as they are on a light background. This brings us to the one issue you need to be aware of. The LCD screen is clear with no back-lighting. This means if it’s being used in a dim or worse dark area you will not be able to see the numbers well or at all. Also if it is against a dark background the numbers will be hard if not impossible to see. I believe my pictures demonstrate that issue. I would have been happy to lose the color changing light ring and ad a single LED back-light for the LCD screen. That would not change the manufactures cost but it would greatly improve the functionality.Other than that this is a great little lamp I give it 4 stars with one star off for the lack of any back-lighting on the LCD screen.

I really like this lamp. Its portable, fits well on my nightstand and the first setting is extremely bright. The dimmest setting isn't as dim as I would like but I still enjoy it. My biggest issue is that all settings start to dim when it needs to be charged and it doesn't seem to hold that charge very well. It suits my needs perfectly if its charged when I use it. Wish it held that charge a little longer.

Looks cute and the lamp works ok, but don’t expect to use the diplay features. You can’t see the numbers and letters! It’s see-through plastic and if you don’t have something white behind it, the display is almost invisible. Seriously, do not waste your money!

it is nice looking. it takes up very little space on the desk. it gives off too little light to be helpful. i wanted a table lamp for my bedside table to work on crossword puzzles. it gives dim light. not useful.

This little lamp is amazing. My desk lamp croaked after many years and I couldn't find something I liked to replace it --- Something that did not take up too much real estate on my desk but was simple and effective. I thought this work work as an interim solution while I searched for something more permanent. Surprise -- this is AMAZING and exactly what I need!. I keep it on my desk and simply plug it into my laptop USB port when I'm working. It retains enough charge that I can use it at other times. It's virtually fuss-free, with only the small USB cord. Its puts out a nice bar of bright light, yet it is focused enough for bedtime reading. It weighs next to nothing, yet because of the design, it doesn't fall over or move around on the desk. It folds up for easy transport -- no larger than an electric toothbrush case. I can't recommend it enough and think it is well worth the price. I haven't used or even noticed the color-changing feature on the base, but it seems like a nice extra touch. I'm reviewing as I'm back to buy another one of these great little lamps!

This is a neat little light that I really love for my reading purposes. It is sleek, light and above all very portable. I like the ability to select my lighting level and find the changing colors in the base quite novel. My only problem with it is that it needs charging more often than I expected. However, since most of my reading is done at bedtime, that is not too much of a drawback. Great buy for the money.

Bought one of these without the clock feature for my elderly mother to provide light wherever she needs it. It's light enough to move around and spreads a nice halo of light. I liked it enough to order another for myself with the clock. Well worth the price. You have to remember to turn it off completely to preserve battery. Would be nice if it turned itself off when you fold it up.
