The Sun Always Knows Where to Find Me

This book had me smiling and shedding tears of joy from cover to cover. I found the poems so relatable to personal situations I have been through. Her words touched my heart and her tone was warm and uplifting. I've never felt so much connection to a poetry book as did when I read this. Since finishing the book I often pick it back up and open it to my favorite poems for inspiration. I love the feeling I am left with when I read these poems. Highly recommended! I will definitely be buying her second book when it releases!

I had actually read this right after watching the Netflix series ‘Maid’ and it was such a perfect duo. Elodie’s collection covers so many themes but I loved mainly how she was able to remain delicate yet still very fierce while addressing emotional abuse and it’s aftermath. I learned a lot about myself while reading this. Super honest & bold. I recommend it y’all
