Smells incredible, but tunnels really badly.
Have been a huge fan of Malin+Goetz for a while. My go-to candle has always been their Leather scented one, but I recently decided to switch it up and try the Dark Rum scent. Was worried it would be overly sweet, but it is more spicy and definitely makes me feel like I'm on vacation. My only complaint is that the candles do have a tendency to tunnel - which is quite annoying. I always try to burn the candle long enough for the full surface of the candle to melt, but it never happens with this candle. When I get close to the end, I'll probably try putting it on a baking sheet in the oven on a low temp to get all the wax stuck to the sides back down on the bottom.

Good smell, quality leaves a lot to be desired
First and foremost, I love the smell. Very gender neutral and not overpowering at all. Unfortunately, it tunnels pretty bad. I did the usual candle etiquette but it just won't burn evenly. I don't know if it's a wick problem or what, but for the price, it's very disappointing

It’s expensive but you’ll love it
I have a hard time justifying paying more than $30 for a candle however I’d buy this one again and again. I got a votive of this scent first at Nordstrom rack and it was sublime so I splurged for the larger one. Burns great, smells rich and full and even masks the smell of my oil paints when I’m working on paintings. Love it!

Love Goetz candle. I wish u had other scents available. Wow it last long time. Worth the money!
Wow great candle. Wish u had more w different scents. Candle scent is strong but nice to put in living room etc. last long time Def worth the $. Love it. I would always stop in the store when I lived on east side of NY. Miss visiting the store bc they have so many wonderful products. Worth the price since folks mentioned cost. Def worth it.

I used to buy these directly at the Malin and Goetz store in New York and I love the quality of this candle. The glass is very heavy and well-made, it has an extreme longevity and I’ve been able to run it for a few months now with barely burning it down, and the smell is fantastic. You can tell that a lot of care went into this product – like all Malin and Goetz products. There’s also no scents on the market quite like it.
