Highly recommended heavy duty slat set, buy THIS one.
I bought a new mattress to replace my absolutely ancient one and tattered, stained old box spring. At first I bought a box spring along with the mattress (there was an offer for a $10 box spring if you bought the matching mattress), but getting it home, it turned out to be too tall for my bed. I returned the box spring, but only had three narrow old slats to hold up the new mattress, one at the top, one at the bottom and one in the middle. Leaving the mattress so relatively unsupported left it feeling soft and mushy, so doing some research, I found that the mattress type didn't require a box spring, but could instead be supported by slats. I took the bed apart and thoroughly measured it and then searched for the right set of slats to fit it. I found this set, it arrived today and I installed it on my ancient old slat bed and it fits perfectly, like a glove, not too short, not too long, not too narrow, not too wide. It beautifully supports the new mattress and it once again feels like I have a box spring under it - nice, firm support. An added bonus (and I'm sure that this will wear off in time) is the delicious faint scent of spruce in my bedroom that harkens back to fond childhood memories of Christmas time. This slat set will mean that I will never again have to buy a box spring for my old slat bed, which will save me a lot of money in future years when shopping for new bedding. It will also fold up quickly, easily and very compactly if I ever again have to move. Thank you, Continental Sleep, for this wonderful product. You just made me a very happy customer!

I had to return because they were half inch too short
Absolutely love this product. Thought it was well packaged and easy too install. However, from my particular bed. It was a 1/2 inch too short. I had to send it backI wish there was a way that I could order the exact size in inches I need.

King size is too small for our king
The slats were barely long enough to rest on out side rails. We had to add side supports to keep the bunkie board from falling to the floor. After adding side supports, we slept on it for one night and the "Heavy Duty" slats had warped. and were almost touching the ground. We added multiple 2x4 supports running from the headboard to the footboard, so now we have 5 rails running in that direction. Spent more money o materials to make this work than I spent on the original item.

Perfect fit for a Queen-sized bed; quality above average
They fit exactly into a 60" wide Queen bed. In my case, I had a bed with metal slats that were too thin to support my new mattress (spring/memory foam), which required slats of minimum 2 inch width and spaced 5 inches apart at most. These slats are comfortably over 2 inches wide (about 2.375 inches). Most of the slats were about 4' 11.9" long, so they fit perfectly into the 60" wide bed (a couple were just about exactly 60" wide). The slats are a bit on the thin side, so you definitely must have a center support beam on the bed (I saw someone post a review and photos without a center support, and as you would expect, the slats can't take that sort of weight without the center support beam). With the center support beam to support the middle of each slat, and the fact that the bed weight is distributed mostly evenly across all the slats, the pressure on any one slat is not excessive, and they do the job well. The wood used is not smelly. I'm very sensitive to smells, and this wood was surprisingly ok. A few of the slats were warped, but that didn't matter too much since they are flexible and bend to become flat when the mattress is on them (the warped slats, about two in my order, was not that bad, and definitely not so bad that you'd consider returning the product). In my case, I had to remove the ribbon that held the slats together since they did not fit well between the metal slats that were already on my bed. You may be wondering why I would do such a thing. Basically, I wanted to take a chance to see if they would fit since it's convenient to have the slats joined together in that way. At the end of the day, the wood ended up being about the same price, if not cheaper then the local hardware store, and in the future I can always staple the ribbon back onto the wood. So yeah, go ahead and try these out for your Queen bed, as long as it's 60" width, with center support beam to support the middle of the slats.

Very sturdy and measurements are exact
Love this product! my bed is well sat and no complaints! use two people to put it together but it is pretty easy to do yourself if you need to.

Mattress support
Item is not long enough resulting with product continuously falling. I have repositioned it several times which requires me to move the box spring and mattress.

Fits and Easy Transport
The Full size fits my full frame perfectly and supports well. It is designed to be easy to fold and transport and it is not insanely heavy. Much preferred over a bulky box spring that makes the bed too high up.

Do not remove plastic packaging straps until ready to install
I purchased this product to used in conjunction with a metal x brace center support to replace the failing wooden slat support system that came with our bed we purchased a couple of years ago. After installing the center brace we simply laid the slats on top of it so it laid from right to left of the bed. Our bed is now rock solid stable and we sleep great knowing we won’t wake up on the floor. The one suggestion I would give is NOT to cut the plastic binding straps that were wrapped around the slats until you have it positioned the way in needs. Not thinking about it I did and wound up with a more difficult installation than what was needed.
