My boys absolutely loved this. The second one they have had. What a mess it makes though. The blue dust got EVERYWHERE! It is definitely worth having a bowl of water to hand to rinse hands because each time they needed the toilet they were spreading blue dust everywhere. That being said the fun they had was wonderful to see and the excitement when they spotted another gemstone was lovely.

I have to say I'm quite disappointed with this kit, my kids got one each for Christmas, it's was quite hard for them to get them out, the tools are useless but what I'm most dispointed about is the gems. They were supposed to get, as listed in the leaflet, very nice looking gems but they didn't, my son got three very similar white gems when he wasn't supposed to have any. The gems are just not very good quality and you think for £25 each they would be.

I got this for my 6yr old daughter and she absolutely loved it. It certainly kept her busy for a while (put a towel or tuff tray) down as it did get quite messy. She enjoyed digging out the gems and then was really pleased with the little jewels/treasures she got to keep.Would make a great extra Christmas present.

This is for my 6 year old and she had a great time discovering and digging out the gems but then she also has had great fun looking at and researching the gems that she found.All the tools needed to play are included and we didn’t this outside on a large tray as it is a bit dusty and messy but great fun.

My daughter loved doing this, kept her busy for ages! Worth it for the peace & quiet! Will be buying more!
