Good quality. Handy for small parts.

As you may see in the first photo, I inherited a nice sturdy metal cabinet, that I decided would be where my fasteners would go. I tried several different boxes, and Amazon’s box won the lucky draw of fitting the best. Still, the boxes are roomy and configurable, with an assortment of bin sizes. As you can see in the third photo, the boxes also work well without the bins. (That blue Dyna Lettering tool is actually a bit too tall for the box, yet it still closes OK. I’m probably straining the hinge by doing that, but time will tell; until then it’s stored and easily findable.) The boxes are a bit flimsy and lightweight; I would not take them to a job site (I have heavier boxes for that.) But for my workshop they are perfect, and affordable. I’m planning on doubling the number of these that I have.

All of these organizers with removable bins that look the same are absolutely identical and interchangeable. I bought the Amazon Basics one, this one, and one other brand to compare quality and use since each of them had a variety of good and poor reviews. Other than the color and the quantity of various bin sizes, they are identical and obviously made in the same factory and just branded differently and sold to separate vendors. All of my organizers arrived in working condition. One had a small crack in the lid from shipping but it didn't go all the way through. You can mix and match the bins from other organizers. Each organizer has two special sizes bins that go on either side of the handle and cannot be swapped out without leaving a gap. The organizers all stack fine with each other. I recommend purchasing based on the lowest price and quantity of bin sizes you want and don't be afraid to mix vendors.

Lightweight. Is "Basic" but adequate for something like sorting Legos or electronics cords; sewing supplies. Not something that can bounce around in the back of a truck bed toolbox.

I really like this small parts organizer overall. The individual removable bins are a great feature, and the crystal-clear plastic makes it easy to see exactly what's inside each compartment without having to open it. My biggest complaint is the latch design. The locks feel a little cheap, and because there are no side latches, the organizer's lid can flex slightly in the middle when being carried. As a result, small hardware like washers and screws can occasionally escape their bins and end up mixed with other compartments. For stationary storage in a workshop, garage, or toolbox drawer, it's a great organizer and works very well. However, if you plan on transporting it frequently with very small parts inside, you may run into some issues with pieces shifting between compartments.

This is a very nifty storage box. I use it to help me sort LEGO purchases. The individual storage trays are perfectly sized for my purposes, and the fact that they can be repositioned is a huge plus. Another very nice feature is the lid, which keeps all of the trays in place.
