Angel Tech: A Modern Shaman's Guide to Reality Selection

I originally read this book in the early 90s and thought it so far out. I have kept a barely coherent, dog-eared, print version on my book shelf through three decades. I can attest that everything in this book is truthish, seemingly correct via rational and evidentiary findings, but controversial because it works counter to what is expected to be true. Indeed, much of the book attempts to undermine faith in cultural certainty and that plays rather quantity in the 20s, as all decades slip away from context eventually.What this book has supplied me is a framework from which I have been able to adopt to the traumas of life while still feeling reasonably certain about at least one thing.The book is heavily referenced by the author's latter work, The Eight-Circuit Brain, which I am currently working on.

This is one of the best books of its kind. Alli somehow manages to make Leary's work more palatable while mustering far more prescience in its application than Robert Anton Wilson was able to with his excellent predecessor on this topic (and also a must-read), Prometheus Rising. I have the first edition of this book and I like that a great many of the typos and grammatical errors have been cleaned out, though the old cover art was cooler-looking and some of the more interesting, provocative language has been removed (such as the suggestion in the older edition[s] that a certified Rebirther not be fat).

I highly recommend this book to those who are looking for a very straightforward practical approach to employing Timothy Leary's eight-circuit model of consciousness; the author uses techniques and practices to keep the individual on a well lit path to healthy/open-minded evolution through Self discovery. This book contains no dogmas, it is not full of mystical,high flying theatrics meant to confuse the reader, and it does not read like a cold boring work of academia. It seems to be, in my opinion, one of the most useful books to allow for the individual to hone and sharpen hir intelligence by choice, and if not have a wild read to pass onto someone who will use this operation manual for the benefit of their own consciousness.

Changed my life when I was 19- 25 years ago. Not to be missed. Imperfect, but what isn't? Thought provoking and powerful framework - and appropriately hilarious.Thanks for this Antero.

Was recommended this book by a fellow practitioner of yoga and meditation. With a mutual interest in learning more about shamanism. As far as readability- I've only just started, though I'd say you have to get serious about reading it from the beginning to fully grasp what it's trying to tell you. I feel it has some very useful and educational information within these pages I'd like to learn more about. Will update review later as I read more.

Can’t finish reading it. Someone in my house

This book is a real drag........I have been trying to read it for some time but it is not entertaining or fun to read at all. Every time I read a few lines I feel completely bored and start to fall asleep so I have not yet been able to finish the book in fact I forgot what I read already due to the extremely boring nature of this book.....this is like one of the books you buy with good intentions and you just can't ever finish so if you want a book that you will never be able to finish this is your book!
