Fun story telling game
The fun part about this game is the elaborate life story you get to make up as you play each card and we always try to make it connect to the rest of the cards you’ve played. For example say the last card one person played was getting their degree and the next card they play is “sky diving wedding” their story went something like this “after working my buttons off in college I decided it was time to do something fun and exciting so I signed up for sky diving lessons! My instructor was this cute girl named Jane. We ended up spending a lot of time together and on my first solo jump I proposed! She said yes and we planned the most amazing wedding ever! We went sky diving in our wedding apparel and even ate wedding cake in the sky!”Really there is endless things you can make up for each card and the kids love it! I feel like it actually has a lot of educational value developing their creativity and storytelling. We played a few times with just adults and we had fun making up the most outlandish, raunchy stories. $27 seems steep for a pack of cards but overall it’s been worth it.

Fun game for the whole family
We got this game a few months ago because we all love the life board game and I thought why not lets see if it is any good. I was surprised at how much fun this game is. The only problem I had with the game was that it is set up to work with only four players and with four kids we have six in our family which means someone has to sit out or we do not have enough cards to play properly. So I had an idea the other day and bought a second set. Perfect! now all six or more (for parties!) can play and we have plenty for up to eight people now. I also took out some of the lawsuit cards, things that take cards from others unless there is a card that allows them a chance to get their stuff back, and we even took out the ten year mark cards and just play till we run out of cards and that makes the game SO much more fun. We have made our own unique way to play the game this way. The kids LOVE telling the stories we laugh so hard and always have fun stories to tell to friends and family afterwards from just playing at the table. I would recommend this game for anyone who loves to spend time together and to help kids expand their imaginations.

Great for the Imagination
This card game is fun for those with imaginations and a willingness to create stories on the go. It really is very different from the Life board game. Also, the rules should be spelled out to all players and a practice hand played first. Particularly difficult for our players was understanding that some cards had "prerequisites."Game Play: Each player starts with a mix of cards fom 4 categories - Career, Wealth, Adventure, and Family. Using one card per round, players begin to paint a picture of their life story. The game continues until 60 years have passed in the storyline (10 years passes everytime someone draws a +10 card). There are some cards that allow you to affect the other players' life stories. The story that you tell about your life events as you place each card is entirely up to you - the more you are willing to embellish upon the event or scenario, the more fun it is for the other players.Pros: Fun to stretch the imagination; great for those who love to make up stories; easy to setup and clean up; easy to play while traveling.Cons: Not as quick to play as other card games, this can stretch out for a while; players can get stuck without much to do if they hold a lot of cards with prerequisites (such as adventure cards that require a passport - I went 10 rounds pulling only adventure cards and never found a passport). This game is more fun with 3-4 people as you'll have fun listening to the stories that other people come up with and have more time to formulate your own thoughts.

This was a family Christmas gift, something we all could enjoy. It was new as described and shipped really fast. It was the first gift to come that I ordered online. I liked the twist that they put on the original game, it almost felt like an entirely new game. It's not the same game play as the original game which is good because I got tired of the same old life game. This version is more based on storytelling and we had lots of fun with it. It sparks creativity and imagination and it is simply a great time for the whole family. I advise that you introduce Life Adventures to your family game night. I doubt that you would regret it. I know we didn't. Thank you Hasbro!

9 Year Old Loves This Game
I purchase a lot of games. Many are fun, but take too long to learn. This one is very easy to learn and has become a favorite. My daughter absolutely enjoys it and I've gotten quite the kick out of it as well even though I normally like fantasy/medieval themed games. That would actually be a really fun theme to design in this style game.

Fun but worthless directions
I bought this game to play with my family in the hospital because it was more portable than regular life. While we had fun playing and making up stories. My problem is that nowere in the instructions does it describe what all the red symbols mean. You need what each red symbol means because you need to put down the card it represents first. Some are obvious but a couple are ambiguous. After going through the entire deck and looking at each picture we determined that the symbols mean the following. The house is for a homeThe car means you need to own a carThe plane means you need to own a planeThe boat means you need to own a boatThe ring means you need a weddingThe booklet with an atom stmbol on the front means you need a passportThe rectangular one with a ribon coming down from the middle means you need a diplomaOnce we figured that out the game was pretty quick and easy but the amount of effort and time it took to get all the instructions down was very frustrating. You would think that hasbro would at least have a key available on their website. They don't even have a help or faq section there.
