Worked great, but you can't store leftover in bag without growing mold/fungus
I followed directions and used what I needed from the bag to fill a 10 x 20 tray. I had a lot left over in the bag, and some 3 weeks later went to fill another tray and it was ALL covered in white mold/fungus. I had left it open to air dry in the same room that I was growing my microgreens with grow lights. It did great as far as a grow medium, and the tray of Sunflower microgreens grew so well it was spilling over the sides of the tray.(I later found out that the taste of Sunflower microgreens was WAY TOO STRONG for me. Just a dozen leaves in a cup of cooked rice overpowered the whole meal. The taste stayed with me until I downed some dessert. I ended up tossing the entire harvest in the trash.)So it looks like you need to use ALL of whatever you hydrate in the bag. Don't leave any behind. I can only imagine if you let the leftover amount outside it the sun then insects would probably infest it and lay eggs. Eww. Guess I'll need to cut the bricks up into smaller portions before hydrating.

Not bad , not amazing
I bought one brick and it absorbed the water very easily. I wound up finding sand and a few seeds inside of the Coco coir. I would recommend this but also advise to clean it well before using with your crops.

My plants seem to love this stuff
I've been growing with this non-soil medium for a few months now and have a few things to share.1. I needed two bricks for a 5-gallon planter, so the advertised 10-quarts per brick seems accurate.2. This product contains no usable nutrients, so be prepared to fertilize from the beginning with not only NPK fertilizers but also micro nutrients. I had some issues with CAL/MAG deficiency that weren't being addressed by my main fertilizer, and perhaps some others that I'm still trying to diagnose.3. Versus traditional potting soil, this product retains water remarkably well. While my other pots get very light 24 hours after watering, the pots with this product in them are still heavy with moisture. Digging down into the fibers, they are damp but not soggy.4. The plants seem to love it, everything I'm growing in it is surging in spite of the nutrient deficiencies I had.5. It's reusable, which I plan to test out next season. So far I'm very happy with the product and plan to continue using it over potting soil. I think my plants will thrive in it once I get the nutrient levels properly adjusted.

Well Draining Soil for Plant Use
I bought this to use in a homemade potting mix for indoor succulent, cactus and tropical plants. Since it is devoid of any nutrients I intend to add a slow release fertilizer to the mix as well. It's too soon to tell how well it will benefit the plants long term, but before mixing sand and perlite with this I found that it does drain very well. So much so, that I find myself watering the plants more often.I do have to mention that like others have said it does have a really strong odor to it when you first prepare the soil. As this is my first time using coconut coir I'm not sure if that is something that is normal. The smell does go away after leaving it for a few days to air out, but I might try a different brand to see if that is natural for this material.Overall, this soil is perfect for me since I am one of those plant owners that puts too much fuss (overwatering) into plants that thrive on neglect.

Rich potting soil in a handy bag
This potting soil is plentifully rich. I planted several varieties of wildflowers in this soil and they sprouted and grew quickly and healthily. Thus, the soil is very high quality given the low price. Also, the bag that comes with the soil is very handy and contains the mess usual soil makes. The dry block of soil also produces an abundance of moist soil--so long as you wait. The block took quite a long time to absorb all of the cups of water. I stopped waiting around for the soil to absorb the water after 2 or 3 cups since it had already taken 15-20 minutes. I ended up pouring the remaining cups of water in the bag and letting it sit in my garage to absorb overnight. The next day, the water was soaked into the soil and the bag was full of rich potting soil. So, like I said, the soil is very high quality so long as you wait a little while. After all, good things come to those who wait!

Good
The media could not be loaded. It’s really good.At first, I only need some soil to fill my three 5.8’’ flowerpot. So I think capacity should be fine and the price is fair.I saw some reviews saying it’s leak and takes forever to absorb water. So I used an other plastic bag when I start filling water. But I think I am lucky because mine is not leak. And I start to filling water at 7pm, it’s not totally absorb water at 11pm when I have to sleep. And it needs a lot of water, yeah, a lot! What surprise me is the capacity is much more than I thought. Finally, I have to bought more pot for the soil. The capacity filled three 5.8’’ pot, three 3.9’’ pot and one 6 inch pot (as shown in the pic). And the soil really works, I have some sprout now.

Easy to use.
I like that it came in a bag and you just add water. I have had it for months now and still have a lot of it left. I did lose 2 plants due to root rot with it because it does NOT drain fast. I have a couple of pictures of the soil watered to show at least a little by what I mean. Although I lost 2, there are many more that are doing very well with it...do believe it's a soil that needs other stuff added to it, in which I have not done. Part of the loss was also my negligence.

Included bags may leak
I have used similar products in the past when I had a outdoor garden. Never worried about making a mess. Concept is great for the indoor garden. Open bag and add 3 quarts of water. Really what could be easier? I am going to tell you...ordered 4 blocks, filled the first bag, great no problems. Filled the second bag, getting ready to open third bag......suddenly water everywhere....counter , floor, throw rugs. The second bag had a pretty good leak. At least it was only water. Fortunately I had some of the jumbo hefty bags. Needless to say, 2 of the 4 bags included bags leaked. Before adding water I would recommend putting the included bag inside another plastic bag or bucket.
