It Pills Easily
I tried doing a painting with a light wash, let it dry, then added Pitt pens to some parts. This product isn't for me. Someone else might love it. I have three different pads so we will see how I like the other two. And I will continue working with this paper for experimentations.

Love these art boards!
I absolutely love these art boards! I use them for watercolor. They are sturdy and do not buckle. I’ve tried other watercolor papers and I always go back to these.

I can’t believe these exist!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. Ok I need to know why I have never heard of these before? I have bought sooooo many watercolor papers and not once have I ever come across these!!!!! I was watching a YouTube video and it was mentioned in it. I came to amazon searched it and BAM!!! There it was!!!! They are awesome and I just bought me another one!!! You don’t have to worry about taping it down it won’t bend and you can take it on the go!!!!! I couldn’t believe the price on it I was for sure it would at least be $20 or $30 dollars because of how well it is made, but no only $14 bucks with tax!!!! I love it and will continue to buy it!!!! I did some practice on one and it went on amazing!!!!! I use gouache as well as watercolors, oh and try using acrylic paint it works beautifully!!!!!!

Thick and hard
I really like this art board. I didn't know that it was art board. I didn't even know what art board was. I do now and I like it. I would by more. Canson is a great brand. Good quality paper at affordable prices.

Art board will soak layers of water colors & inks and never buckles board ,,
I am so glad I discovered this product!!. Colors stay bright and dry quickly. I can apply several layers of paint and surface stays rigid . No more taping down buckling water color papers !,

Great paper
Great way to paint watercolor on a surface that stays flat as regular watercolor does. Good price point and a good size.

Try it out it's a great way to paint
Great board as an artist I've used hand made watercolor paper and stretched it the traditional way but if I need a quick watercolor board that works great I've done illustration work on these for publishing and it is aloe cost great alternative.

Consistent quality, great price, worth buying consistently
Very good for gouache paints. This item is a staple for our resident artist and I get purchase requests for it regularly. The quality is consistent, it allows for correction and revision. The price is very reasonable and that is hugely important. Art fails happen and sometimes there's guilt over wasted supplies. Being able to reassure my young artist that stepping away from a project won't break the bank is hugely liberating for both of us.

Great for watercolour - does not buckle or warp!
Overall the price is reasonably expensive, however cost per sheet works out to be reasonable when you consider the quality. I personally enjoyed working on this board as I had previously been incredibly frustrated with the amount of paper buckling when using a heavy watercolour wash. This art board is wonderful in that regard and works well with mixed media as the texture is not too rough even for pen and ink. It also is a good media for acrylic as per the manufacturer's claim. I will definitely be buying more once I run out, and am also planning to buy more of this, but in different sizes. I bought the 12 x 16 inch pad this time.

Fair value; Quality issue
The bad: The block arrive with all the glue coming apart so it was no longer a block but individual boards. It doesn't warp or pool with lots of water, but with only a single board, it curls as if being wrapped around a tube. The good: More portable, as it was meant to be. Surface is somewhere between cold and hot press and is nice to glide your brush across. Wash comes out even and the colour shows true. Conclusion: it will serve its purpose. It won't be my top choice but will still come in handy when the occasion calls for it. Fair value for the money.

Does not feel or work like watercolour paper
Awful product. Even though they are boards, they still warp. I have good quality paints and they didn't move across the paper at all. It's like painting on unsealed mdf board. Flat. No gloss on the paper or movement of paint, so no watercolour effect can be achieved. I wouldn't even give them away!

solid product but shipping is problematic
Good paper, holds lots of pigment. However, they shipped in a bubble mailer, and the pad arrived with the spine broken and the corner of a couple of the boards dented. Not worth my time to return, but could be an issue depending on how you intend to use the product.

Great for mixed media too.
I used these boards for a mixed media piece (have since purchased the mixed media version).I usually ‘punish paper’ (lol) when I do mixed media pieces and this stacked up to the punishment without warping, bending etc.Very happy, would buy again.
