Our knives are designed here in the United States by us to our specific specifications, replicating the designs of traditional Japanese style knives and then they are manufactured in China by extremely experienced blade smiths. We wanted a perfect balanced weight distribution where the blade meets the handle, being slightly front heavy and we achieved this while improving structural rigidity with our full tang design. Also, we chose a single bevel design for our gyuto while keeping our santoku, nakiri and petty knife a double bevel design. This allows our knife set to handle each and every task in the kitchen without compromise. Can they used for left or right handed

Hello Bernard. Thank you for inquiring about our chef knives. Our 8” gyuto knife is a single beveled design which is sharpened on the right side. Because of this, our gyuto is intended for right handed users. Our 7” santoku, 7” nakiri and 5” petty knives are double beveled which is sharpened on both sides and could be used by left or right handed users. Our intention is to release a left handed gyuto in the future but with some of the constraints caused by Covid, we don’t have an ETA of when this will be. Is there a knife cover or block to purchase for these knifes?

Hello Terwya. I’m sorry, we don’t not currently offer a knife cover or knife block for our knives at this time. Some of our customers store their knives in the box packaging for safe keeping. This is the first time we’ve had an inquiry about a knife cover or block so we will consider offering this in the future. Is it possible to purchase the knives separately? and is the petty knife a single bevel like the gyuto or is it a dual bevel like the nakiri?

Hello Kevin, thanks for asking your question. At this time we only have the offering for each knife included in this set. We will eventually sell each knife separately but as of now, only the gyuto can be purchased as a single.

Currently, our petty, nakiri and santoku are all dual beveled and the gyuto is the only single bevel blade in our lineup. Please feel free to reach out to us directly if you are ever in need of any assistance. Cheers!
