I was very skeptical of this camera. Seemed like a great idea...but I noticed others had not rated it very highly. Decided to take a plunge and give it a try. I'm so glad I did. The camera was easy to install and set-up. Picture quality during the day is great. The night time is kind of hard to see...but I think in my case it has more to do with a cold front that has come through my area of the country...the lens was a little foggy...but you can still see fairly well.....Motion detection works very well. For the price - I would highly recommend.

I bought 4 of these cameras. I have not been able to get 1 single one of them to scan the QR Code. I thought maybe it was the light fixture. I replaced that, same issue. It sits there and beeps while I am holding my phone up and moving it around for 20 minutes, like a dummy. I get it they're cheap.. (that's why I bought 4, needing only 2, I figured at least one would be defective).. turns out it's not a defective unit, it's a defective product. It does not work, AT ALL. I have wasted so much time out of frustration just trying to get the WiFi login credentials scanned in, it makes me even more upset typing this. Anything from this company is trash. If I would have known there is NO support, and their contact is a hotmail address that no one answers.. I would have just ponied up the money for a Ring right off the bat.All the troubleshooting steps I tried to no avail:1. Tried all 4 units2. Reset each device several times3. Went through all the "Help" articles in the app4. Replaced the light fixture5. Ensured consistent power was being delivered to the fixture6. Screamed in frustration, and invented new curse words.

Updates on the review after contacting the customer service:- Finally made the flood light working.- Both the "IR Night Vision" and "Lighting Warn" need to be Enabled in order to make the flood light motion activated.Now the camera works as advertised and expected. Updated the rating to 4 stars. There is huge room to improve on documentation.Bought it to set up outside the garage door. Easy to install by replacing the light bulb in the wall lantern. Had the camera for one week now and have mixed feelings. Love the concept of E27 power connector and the flood light, but the flood lights do not turn on after so many tries. Hope the user manual give detailed instructions on setup. Video and picture quality are decent, but video playback is not friendly. The playback always starts from the first one of the day and is difficult to navigate through others.

I set it up at a test location and it was pretty easy. Works pretty good. When I went to set it up again in a permanent location, I had difficulty setting it up. After some head scratching I realized that I needed to broadcast my SSID from my router. I normally have it turned off. I also discovered that I need to keep broadcasting my SSID even after setting it up. (SSID is the name of your wireless network for those who don't know). But other then that it works fine. Maybe they will allow for hidden networks in the future.I also noticed that in the video it shows the camera being screwed into an outside light socket. The instruction manual says that you cannot get the camera wet. So keep it in mind if you intend to use it outside where water/moisture can get to it.

Try to install it in a wall lantern. Set up was not easy but was done. Camera image is clear. However, it has several major drawbacks. The motion triggered event only record picture, not video. Tech support is essentially non-exist. I am surprised the hotmail email address actually replied my test message but never heard back once I put in the actual questions. When mounted upside down inside the Lantern cover, it works fine during the day but useless at night. The light emitted from the camera will generate bright spots on the glass lantern cover and the camera will focus on them. Without lantern cover, the SD card slot and light socket are entirely exposed to rain when mounted upside down.

This camera is so easy to mount and set up. I was surprised by the quality as it is very good and the image is sharp. I am able to monitor my dogs without any problem and i can talk to them. The night light function is very useful as i work night shifts sometimes and want to be able to check on them. My electricity bill has not gone up so it does not use much electricity. Very happy overall!

(Revised) Good design, just needed an extender for our placement location. The tilt is great and easy to use. Had a little trouble with connecting to our internet as the instructions were a little hard to follow on that aspect; otherwise, easily installed and easy to use. As of right now, I would purchase this product again, but have not fully used it to its capability just yet-I am waiting for the SD card and the extender to arrive to better rate the product. Will follow up at that time to finalize my feedback and rating. So far, I can say customer service from the seller is great. More to come.... :) ----------- Update - after several attempts of following up with the company for an extender and micro SD card as they promised to provide for me to be able to utilize my purchase (which is also laid out in the product booklet included with the item purchase), I have received nothing and only one single response from them which initially was impressive....then....silence. Unfortunately, I am unable to use the item as planned and it's pretty much garbage for me now. I will plan to go with another purchase with another company to find what I need. Super discouraged on this, what I thought to be, a good purchase. They need better customer service responders.

Does everything it claims to do, does them all adequately and for the price I have no complaints. It is a cheap option so nothing too fancy and very sensitive motion detection and not the highest quality cameras or night vision but they all work, you can identify people at any time of day. Thumbs up :)
