The media could not be loaded.  There are so many great things to say about this incredible book that I will try to cover. Please, stick around & read this if you are considering purchasing this product; or have been looking at other options. I love helping others out there to make the absolute best & informed decision on products that I can vouch for personally, & provide as much detail about them as possible!I have not been asked nor compensated to write this review, nor did I receive it for free. PURELY writing this of my own volition with how satisfied I am with this book!---> 1st off, the pictures DO NOT do this justice whatsoever; it is truly a work of art. The leather is 100% genuine, soft & has a very authentic feel for an old style book (inside of the cover is rough as it should be). More to that end, if you are looking for a book of shadows than you have found it! This book may be described here as "cute" by the seller, & I suppose that's a matter of perspective (or sales) but this book looks quite dark & so very appealing in person depending on what your interests / purposes are. It embodies everything I sought it out for, & has such an elegant, yet mysterious & shadowy allure to it! Don't get me wrong, I do not mean malicious, or some evil book, it will just appeal greatly to others out there on different "paths" such as myself; or simply as a very unique journal that's bound to turn some heads; an excellent gift! Especially with Halloween right around the corner, so get your friend, spouse, loved one, & fellow practitioner something they will truly cherish!---> As far as Durability? Well, It will certainly not fall apart, it is carefully & skillfully hand bound & constructed very well overall. The handmade paper looks quite authentic as well, while also being 100% usable without any problems; be it standard ballpoint / gel / fountain pen, or graphite / charcoal pencils; even Sharpie! (Careful for bleed through just to be safe but the paper is nice and thick, I've tested all listed for review).The way the paper is designed, there may be some subtle tiny "rough" spots, these are just little pieces you brush / lightly scratch right off the surface from when it was made out of recycled paper (there aren't many all over the place or anything). The decle edges (if I'm remembering that correctly) as well as coloring of the paper are also very authentic, down to the feel of each page. No 2 pages are the same either; varying in size slightly, shape, coloration, edges, feel, etc.Onto the Tiger's Eye inlay stone, each of these is supposed to vary as no 2 are the same for obvious reasons, but the gem stone is quite stunning & set well within the book cover! As for the clasp on the book, this is also very solid & well made; not at all flimsy or loose like 1 might expect for something within this price range. This can be seen in the video I will provide to show the book in all regards.--> It's like Something straight out of history (as well as movies), handmade by some very skilled individuals & shipped right to your door for an ABSOLUTE STEAL! I truly could NOT believe what I received for roughly 20 bucks! I swear I would have happily paid a good $80 for this incredible piece to add to my collection & best believe I will be purchasing 2 more for art & poetry!Side note, I have not tried sketching in this book yet as it's not what I got the original for. The pages aren't 100% smooth like standard paper (very textured feel); any pen or pencil works flawlessly for writing, however, fine detail sketching may just have to be done more carefully until you gauge how the paper feels under your preferred media.---> You truly have to hold this in your hands & see it in person to believe just how incredible it is, & I can 100% GUARANTEE if you're looking for an old style leather bound book for whatever purpose, you will NOT be disappointed in the slightest! I have not come across a product like this in a LONG time that had such outstanding quality, let alone for such a low price. It really is worth every single penny & more!So, as I said, if you're looking for something like this, or know someone who would love this as a gift, than look no further & BUY THIS! I have bought from other companies in the passed, standard lined paper and fake leather, it was 2-3x more expensive for that piece of garbage & I regret buying that years ago after receiving this. Point is? Don't waste your time & money on other companies out there if you think that you would like to have a book such as this for yourself, as you will be hard pressed to find such quality elsewhere for such a great priceI truly hope this review will help anyone out there who's interested in this product, as I to rely on the detailed reviews of others on different products I'm just not certain about purchasing.
