LOL, ya' know --- it looks like one of those Fischer Price toys with all the knobs & buttons that don't do anything --- but, the thing WORKS really realy nicely !!!Hard boiled eggs come out really-easy-to-peel if you cool them fast in ice water, they don't have that green ring around the yolk, and if you care about that sort of thing they are, well, tender, I guess. I don't know --- my dear old mom used to cook them 'till they were hammered, but this thing does a really nice job. I did get a brownish deposit on the stainless steel bottom after cooking (combination of hard water deposit and toasted protein from the outside of the egg) but I sprayed a little distilled vinegar ON A PAPER TOWEL to clean it and it cleaned up right nicely.Buy this egg cooker if you'd like to have eggs or easy egg sandwiches (chopped hard boiled egg, mayonnaise, salt and pepper, on toast) --- you'll almost assuredly love it !!!

One of my favourite kitchen gadgets. Works well, faster than making eggs stovetop & less clean up. Makes life easier. And cute bell noise indicating it’s ready is loud enough to hear from another room.

1 Star based on purchase and return process, no knowledge of how this item works as cannot be used in UK Plug Socket! I am dissappointed that an Item sold on the Amazon UK site does not make it clearer that it is not suitable for use in the UK as it runs on 110v. Fine if you can plug it into a shaver point, but pretty useless in the normal scenario of a UK kitchen. As it was bought as a present it wasn't opened until Christmas Day, so doubly dissappointing/embarrassing as a gift!There should be a clearer notification in the description, not left for someone (me in this case) to check out the Tech Spec, again not something I generally feel I have to do purchasing an electrical item on the Amazon UK website. Now to cap it all, the return address is in the US, and the return instructions are very confusing. You print off a label with a small DHL carrier logo in the top right hand corner, but it is not accepted by our Post Offices and the nearest DHL drop off is an hour away. On top of that the instructions say you have to pay for the postage, which is then included in the refund, if appropriate, even though the return has been "accepted" by Veonx, so the label should be postage paid and sendable through any Post Office. Not happy!
