Easy to wear, dog loves it!
We have a senior dog that likes to go on walks with us, but she isn't able to do long walks by herself. She sits comfortably in the Kurgo backpack. She also likes being able to see out of it easily, since half of it opens up. It's also extra great that she is clipped in, so she doesn't fall out (she does fidget here and there when she wants to walk).

Fashion over function
This is a sturdy, well constructed backpack that is very fashionable. It's not well thought out with respect to carrying a pet though. The interior space is small - very small. Our 6lb Yorkie had little room to move about and felt uncomfortable enough he kept trying to jump out. There is no provision to roll up or fold back the back flap. I just sort of hangs there if you leave the back open. You'll note in the promotional picture that the back flap is tucked inside the backpack, further cutting down on the space, and allowing your pet's feet to get tangled in the leather strap now at the bottom of the bag. There is also no easy way to zip open the back canvas flap for added ventilation. The design does not provide a way to fold back the canvas to allow free airflow through the mesh. You're left with rolling it up and hoping it stays put as you carry the pack with handles (it doesn't).Finally, the mesh itself is pretty tightly woven. There are two small patches of heavy mesh on the sides, through which air is further restricted by perforated leather covers. There is a large mesh across the back, but this is not completely effective because the canvas flap mentioned above continues to get in the way.Bottom line, I am uncomfortable leaving our dog in the bag with everything fully zipped. While it looks nice, this doesn't meet the primary need of providing a means to travel via walking or public transport with our dog. Sending this back.

The straps need padding
Perfect and we’ll thought out. I returned bc the straps are horrible. No padding and hurt to wear. If these were made w cushiony straps I would much prefer this bag over others. Colors are fun too

Comfy for my 10 pounder
This review is for the new Nomad backpack for up to 15 pounds. My little Malshi weighs about 10 pounds and he sits comfortably in this backpack. At first I thought it might be too small, but he acclimated quickly to sitting in it. I practiced putting him in the backpack and placing it on my back, as I was concerned he might try to jump out (even with the tether on). Fortunately he hasn't jumped out and I'm now comfortable using the backpack as well. The backpack is well made with padding on the bottom and sides. It's also functional with the pockets including an internal back pocket that I use for my wallet or phone. After about a recent 20 minute walk, he got tired so he sat in his backpack and "we" walked for another mile. I'm 5'0" so the size of this backpack fits comfortably for me which is a bonus. It does start to get a little heavy after about 15 minutes, so I would prefer padded straps for added comfort. I may have to rig something to help, but for the price it should have been included. I also am not sure what to do with the sternum straps as the metal clasps don't work well at all. I'm still wondering if I'm missing something here.Overall this little backpack checks most of the boxes for the doggie and the human. Most importantly it allows my little guy to go to more places with me.I noticed there aren't many reviews for this smaller bag, so I hope it helps.

Satisfied
I love this product. It allows me to take my dog with me when I vacation or around town. People are always commenting or taking photos of it when I’m out and about. Definitely a great way to meet some new friends.

Wrong advertising
The small Kurgo Nomad claiming it will hold dogs up to 15lb is not correct. My pup is a Papshund and weighs 11 lb. She could not fit in that Carrier Backpack.

Me encantó

Schade!Leicht ist er !Die Optik ist gut
