I like the camera and surprised by customer service
I bought this camera to monitor a large frequently vacant 10 acre facility. More than anything i wanted to monitor the dumpster to catch people trespassing and dumping. Camera worked great for that purpose. I can look around and see just about everything from the center of the property.Approx 100 days after install i logged in and it was dead. I dont know why but it was. I logged onto amazon and discovered Amazon had a return policy and support policy that didnt extend beyond 90 days. I looked up the camera vendor and it wasnt clear how i get service since it was supplied direct from a china manufacturer. I worked through Amazon as a broker on the website and they connected me direct with the manufacturer support center. After several exchanges back and forth, they replaced my dead camera and i received it within a week of my discovering it was dead.I was prepared for the worst of support and have to say i think this whole experience was okay. My hope is that a year from now i can log on and say the ptz camera is still working as advertised. Packaging, manuals and operation all as good as something you would expect to get from a big box retailer in town.

BEWARE
I ordered one of these, returned it because the SD card wouldn't format, the camera kept getting confused with being on WiFi vs. hard wired to the network and it would get very hot for some reason. I ordered a 2nd one and it did pretty much the same thing, but in addition, the app (Danale) had issues saving videos to the SD card and wouldn't allow playback. However, my MAJOR complaint has to do with customer service. Being in IT for about 30 years I can troubleshoot almost anything. To help with troubleshooting all the problems that came up on the 2nd camera, I provided support with multiple emails detailing the processes, results and errors. Each time, support glossed over all that information and attempted to bandaid the problem with what appeared to be template responses. After about three attempts at this, they asked for me to allow access to the camera through a "Friends" option. A remote access option to the camera. They provided me with an IP address.I was very skeptical doing this...and I was right. In my gut I felt this was not a good thing, but I didn't listen.Relenting to their request for access, I added the IP address. Almost immediately after receiving their confirmation having accepted my Friends request, my network was attacked. The IP address in the log files resolved to criminalip.com which isn't what I wanted to see. I don't care how good your intentions are, being associated with a website with that name is an obvious issue. I've been working non-stop for the last 24 hours cleaning up the attack.I won't go into details here, but because I was desperate to get this working, I gave in to their request. It was a stupid move on my part. Whatever you do, do NOT allow a "Friends" request to access this camera, especially from support. Of course they will deny everything, which is the norm. The Danale app is terrible, their support is suspect and my network was attacked. Just letting you know to stay far away from this product.

Nice image
I have purchased 4 of these for 2 different setups. The first 2 worked great, you cannot tilt it above the horizon level, but if mounted correctly it works great. Very very difficult to setup the auto roaming features and the motion picks up and alerts you to rain, snow, a leaf blowing in the tree, anything. Very annoying. The 2nd pair I got don’t work at all. I can hear stuff rattling around inside and are 100% un-usable. Very disappointed, but the nearest ups store to return them to is over an hour away so maybe someday I’ll get them returned 🤷♂️

Not worth the money. Optics are pretty good, the imager
I purchased this PTZ for $329 and Sunba (P636, Performance Series) $399. Not even close. The Sunba isphysically larger, weights 3x as much and is superior in every way. Not just the picture, but things like PTZ control movement is inconsistent. One PTZ click may move the camera twice as much as the previous click. I think the mechanicals inside seem to be the problem. The Sunba movement is always consistent. This no-name camera could not adjust above 90 degrees vertical, I didn't think that would be a problem, it was.Picture quality is not even close. Image quality, in any way you want to measure is way better with the Sumba. The zoom level was comparable. That was the only thing. IR lighting wasn't even close, Sunba was much better with IR with better disbursement pattern way more distance (a few times further)Both cameras were slow to respond to PTZ commands, I finally changed both cameras to 1080 (2mp) to lower the camera CPU usage, that made both cameras more responsive to PTZ commands. Unlike my fixed cameras, the extra megapixels didn't seem to make the image better even when I used digital zoom. There just wasn't much of a difference, and i don't know if it's just me, I liked the lower resolution pic better. Not at all my results from fixed cameras.I noticed a trend with the more expensive cameras that try to do more internally like autotracking. The imaging on those tends to be 1080 (2k) that's the only reason I tried lower resolutions. I suspect on PTZ cameras, 2k is all that's needed. I'm totally surprised by this.an extra $70 gets you a whole lot better camera with Sunba. I'm sure there are other cameras out there besides Sumba, but I have only compared these 2 as well as aI also tried the Jidetech 20X 5 MP for $225. The imager on that is horrible, complete junk.

Great Picture! Great Zoom! Great Price!
I use this more for nature watching but it would make an excellent security camera. I think the pictures speak to the quality. Works well with blue Iris. Easy to use. Way cheaper than other cameras with the same features.

A better, more expensive camera makes a HUGE difference
Bought this camera for a 24/7 zoomed live view of Seattle. Software is a bit buggy. Picture ok. Bought a more expensive Montavue 4K camera to see the difference in picture quality and software applications. It made all the difference in the world. Easy to use and the picture is so very much better. If you can afford it...go with a more expensive quality camera. ( picture taken off of Montavue camera)
