I love these printers. Are they perfect? No. No printer is.Pro's:Easy to assemble (compared to other printers).Print quality is great out of the boxNo upgrading needed (unlike every Creality and Voxelab printer I have bought and needed upgraded parts right away).For single color prints it has been 'set and forget' since day 1 and running 24/7 for several months now without failing printing lithophanes.Con's:Doesn't work with Cura scripts like 'filament change' for multi color printsTouch screen is tiny, hard to ready, and not nearly as user friendly as Jyer's firmware on my Enders and Aquila printers. No custom firmware.Noisy z axis motor (Elegoo claims they are working on a firmware update to solve this)Cheap fans (a complaint I have with all printers, either spend $100 upgrading to Noctura fans for deal with replacing cheap $3 fans annually).I have 10 printers at the moment, CR-6 Max, several Ender 3v2s, several Voxelab Aquila's, Mars 3 and soon a Jupiter resin printer along with a couple Neptune 2s. For a single color 'work horse' printer, I like the Neptune 2s the best for the price. My Ender 3v2s ended up costing me over $700 after doing all the upgrades (dual Z axis, flex plate, noctura fans, bondtech extruder, better wheels, replacement motherboard from 4.2.2 to 4.2.7, etc) and my Aquila's cost over $400 after upgrades just to make them reliable. After several months of non stop printing on the Neptune 2s, I have only had to replace the nozzles from normal wear and tear, no additional upgrade parts needed. I plan on buying several more Neptune 2s once the demand for my printing service grows and requires more printers to meet deadlines.

I took a bet on this machine because of the recommendation from the Uncle Jessy YT channel.I was banging my head against an underdeveloped and much more expensive Creality machine for a very long time, having to rebuild and replace parts with struggles continuing.I set this machine up and was printing in less than four hours, but I am pretty used to building these types of machines.The written instructions are good and They claim to have an included video on the SD card. ( I didn't check)This machine is really well thought out and goes together easily. Everything fits great and has a great rigidity and stability. The machine sets up easily and runs super quietly during printing. The print bed is a dream for anyone that has had issues with adhesion before. The prints stick well and come off easily.I did a basic bed leveling and ran the test print from the included SD card and it came out flawless and beautiful on the very first try. I kid you not. I have built, operated, rebuilt, upgraded and maintained many cnc type machines and this one is the beauty of great design and community input that has equaled a wonderful machine. I want more of them, no doubt.The touch screen quality isn't high end but it works well, the UI needs fixing. It is hard to find your way around and many buttons are unclear about what they do/mean. I find it hard to even read the filenames in the ICON mode it displays in.

I ultimately decided to upgrade to a fully enclosed 3D printer, but I was amazed how well is printed for its price. Good quality parts. The only issue that I had were minor clogging and bed leveling which is common for something of this price range that you have to build yourself out of the box. But I still recommend it for anyone wanting to get into 3D printing. Just remember before you start to print materials that can release VOCs, this is not enclosed and should not be trapped in a bedroom with you for hours while it's printing. It should be in an area well ventilated or garage or enclosed if possible.

I'm very impressed. The frame is sturdy and true. My first attempt produced exactly the part I designed and expected. It's pretty quick (hour or two) to assemble the precisely made parts, and the concise directions were good. The machine was a bit beat up during shipping, but it was simple to true the base and straighten a bent motor mount - the packing is actually pretty good - not sure what happened to the box. The directions for use aren't sufficient for a beginner, but there's lots of useful info on the web for this machine. I love the touchscreen control - it has some glitches, but none serious. I got a lot more machine for my money than I expected. I added a strain relief bracket for the tube/cables to the print head - as delivered they may fatigue with some use. The upgraded dual gear extruder on the "S" model appears very rugged. I recommend this unit.

I had an issue where the z axis stepper motor stopped working. I was doing another mod to the printer so I'm not sure if that is what caused it. I don't see how it could have but I guess it could have as I did have the printer open. I emailed support asking where I could buy a replacement main board since I'm not sure if it was my fault the problem occurred. The next business day they responded to me and had me give them my order number. Later the same day they said they were shipping me a warrantee replacement board.That level of support coupled with the great features of this printer makes this printer a no brainer to purchase.

I think what really helps this printer is it comes with accessories you would want to get anyways and they are already on the printer when you get it I love the flex plate the most. I rarely have issues with bed adhesion with this plate. If I ever have any issues with this printer it is usually my slicing software settings. I reinstalled the software and reset the settings and it is just humming along quietly while I sleep with it running. This printer came in clutch for last minute Christmas present ideas this year. I made something for everyone in just a few days. This is my 2nd product from elegoo and it doesn't disappoint.

This was my first 3 D printer and I have been printing all kinds of stuff with it now. It has a slight learning curve on how to level off the table but watch a few videos on your tube and you will be printing like a pro.
