Felco F910 Leather Holster

Excellent and well made Felco f2 holster when you're taking a break.

This is a well-made holster, constructed out of good-quality leather. Good enough that I'm not sure how they can make a profit on these. I'd price it at $15 or more. It is made of vegetable-tanned leather that does not appear to have any further processing. Because of that, it drinks up water like a 250 lb person after running a marathon. It's also very stiff. These two factors will shorten its lifespan. Before completely taking care of this problem with a good leather conditioner, you can take advantage of the properties of the leather by molding it to fit your shears perfectly. Here's how: 1. Cover your shears with plastic wrap in a way that will keep them dry. 2. Soak the holster in water. 3. Put your shears in the holster, shoving them down so the leather slightly stretches to match the shape of your shears. 4. Let the leather air-dry at room temperature. 5. Remove the shears and plastic wrap. Now you have a custom holster! But it is still very stiff and absorbent. It will get wet while you are gardening and its shape will change in arbitrary ways. It will get dirt and mud on it. The stains are marks of hard work, but mud will dry leather and make it crack. So you need to condition it. You can use whatever waterproofer or conditioner you use on your boots or shoes. Just make sure to get it in there - warm it up if your conditioner is a stiff paste, etc. Don't have a product like this in your home? You should get boots or shoes that need it! I have used a number of different products over the years, all of which are pretty good, but lately I've been using one called Cobbler's Choice. It's a liquid that's easy to use and it.... works. (If you are using it on boots, you might also want to use a more waxy product on top... but this thing is not boots and it doesn't matter.)

Very eell built. I bu one for each new pruner I buy. Much. Sturdier than some of the better known brands . I atill use the other three after 20 years.

It's a rough and ready tool holder, and it works so well -- made in the USA, and the Felco F2 pruning shears fits inside like a hand in a glove. The leather is thick and durable, the craftsmanship is clean and sharp, and I'm sure I'll get years if not decades of use from it. Well worth the price to have such a perfect pairing.

I've been using this holster to carry pruning shears while hiking, to clear poison oak and other obstacles from remote trails... it is very good quality, and I like that it holds the shears securely without needing to actually strap them in, which is handy when accessing them on the trail.

I bought this holster to use with my Felco 2 pruners and this is the correct holder for those pruners. When new it was more difficult to slide the pruners in so while watching tv I slide the pruners in and out many times and now the leather has formed perfectly around the pruners and they slide in easily. What I really like are the many options for how to attach to your belt or wear. There is two slits for the belt, there's a clip on the back to attach to pants or pocket and there's also a small hole at the top in case you want to hang them from something. Lots of options. The leather is thick and good quality. This holder should last a lifetime.

Blev bra, men den snygga loggan försvann och fodralet såg med ens ut som det legat ute i regn i fem år. Men vill man ha vintage var det perfekt.
