Overall the kit isn’t bad. I struggled with the snaps/rivets and the “instructions” just say, “the leather rivets set fixing tools can help more easier to do some leather and cloth repairing work”. So after googling and a handful of rivets later I finally figured it out. Here is how they work (Use my image as a guide for the numbers) — First punch a hole in the leather with tool 5. Then take the flat snap 1 and put it face down on the flat side of the anvil with the rivet sticking upward. Put your piece of leather with the rough side up on the rivet. Then put snap 2 so the stars/decorative side are facing up. Using tool 6, place its pointy end through snap 2 so that its pressing into the rivet hole of snap 1. Hammer it a few times until the rivet of snap 1 expands inside snap 2. One side done! Next flip the anvil over to the concaved nipple side. Next put snap 4 on the anvil so its rivet is facing up. Then add the leather, followed by snap 3 with its button nub facing up. Place tool 7 around the button and whack it with a hammer a few times. Way to go, you’re now an expert button snap thing person. Make sure to practice on a piece of scrap leather! It takes some finesse to get right. Hope that helps!

None of the tools worked. They need to be sharpened and that to me is unacceptable. Especially the cutting knife. It made it only halfway through and then you have to use a xacto knife or leather scissors, which ruins it because you don’t get a clean cut. Thankfully I tested them on scrap leather. The punching set does not go all the way through because they are not diamond chisels like they claim to be in the description. They are made from cheap steel. The awl is way too small to hold and is also made from cheap steel. The groover doesn’t do anything at all. I didn’t bother using the rest since it’s not worth keeping only for them. I can’t believe it’s so highly rated. Do yourself a favor and buy good quality tools individually instead of some kit.

After reading other reviews I decided to buy this low priced kit that includes basically all you need to get started in leather stitching. No complaints about the quantity of items for the price. I really like some of the things that I thought would be useless... the leather finger and thumb "thimbles" are so useful. The hole cutters are great and haven't broken yet. The waxed threads come in a variety of colors. Good deal.

Absolutely the best kit I’ve seen anywhere at any price. This cannot be beat. The hammer and rivet setter alone costs as much as the whole shebang elsewhere. Thankyou to this company that still gives one a quality set at an affordable price.

Oh my goodness! This is such a bargain! The tools are Sharp, the hammer is perfect, everything in this kit is usable and I'm so glad I got it! Without realizing it I accidentally purchased two other hole punches, which I now will return because this one is the best!
