Perfect replacement for the dumbest safety mechanism ever invented by man. Comes in handy package of two because they know better than the manufacturer (Ryobi in this case).Stop fudging with the screwdriver trick and just replace the damn thing already - these work.

Fit my small bench top Craftsman Drill Press (Circa mid 1990’s)!
Pulled the original to install a bit in my drill press and it flew off never to be seen in the near term. Grabbed the one out of my HF scroll saw and saved the day. Decided I should have spares as I always thought this might happen and sharing them gets old quick. Fortunately, because dimensions were not given for these, they fit like a glove without modification!
