So I have these on 3 fridges and the adhesive has failed on all of them lol. I scraped it off and stuck it on with some epoxy. That did the trick.You can do that even if you rent. Use a razor blade to remove it and dissolve the epoxy with acetone. Or leave it for the next guy, whatever.The key is not really a key...it's a piece of metal that fits in the 'lock'. Literally anything that fits in there will turn the cylinder. I use a door latch bypass tool. You can probably find a cheaper, less obscure option. Happened to have one handy so my better half stole it. 🤷That being said, this is for keeping kids out. It offers slightly more security than a keep out sign. Don't put it on anything that should be secured.

My son has impulse eating problems and this helps keep him from over eating . Gives me piece of mind that he is not eating uncooked eggs or something that might get him ill

These in theory would be great for a home that doesn’t have kids yanking on the doors, trying to open them. I love the idea of them. But the adhesion is not great after use for a few weeks. When it does stick, it does very well. But it was about half my pot wasn’t a sticky or something. Be sure you clean the area before you place the sticky part on the furniture. These were great for our foster children, because it provided a lock on things that needed to be locked. I ended up meeting to replace some adhesive on some of them.

Super easy to install, shipping arrived way faster then listed! Unfortunately Approx 6 months after purchase, the adhesive gave out and just didn’t want to have a secure grip to our deep freezer. Replaced adhesive with some I had at home!!!!

I got this item because my roommates kept trying to put things in my deep freezer and taking things that weren’t there’s. Well now this lovely thing keeps them out of it. I’ve had it for a few months not and can lift up the freezer without it budging I love it.
