MizunoMen's Wave Rebellion Running Shoe

Very lightweight
As I said, these are extremely lightweight. I think they're comfortable however, but everyone complains about the tongue being very thin. It is thin and it is long. Just an FYI

The coolest looking running shoes
I have never owned a cooler looking pair of running shoes. The fit great. The soles have a odd feel because they are not solid. But I am sure they would be fine. I am keeping them just to use as kicking it shoes, rather than to run in because they look so cool.

Only for lighter weight runners
This is my second review. My first review was 2 stars because the outer sole showed significant breakdown by 200 miles, and at full retail price, this shoe was not a good value. However, at its present price, I am reconsidering having now owned 6 pairs. It is important to note that this shoe is for lighter weight runner who need a cushioned, stable shoe for fast training or racing. The Rebellion has a midsole plate (this is very imortant). The plate offers stabllty and increases the runners speed. Many brands offer plated shoes for pro or elite runners which cost more than $200. The rebellion at $80 is a good value if you are a lighter weight runner looking for a shoe that offers fast pace training, racing or comfortable long runs.

Don’t waste you time/money
I have run in Mizunos for years. As an older person with a heel strike style, the deep, softer cushion of all my other Mizunos is why I keep buying them. These were lower priced and I should have known better than to assume that was a deal.extremely lightweight (the bad kind, i.e. cheap thin material with no padding) and hard as plastic. I weight 200lbs and the shoe has barely any give under my full weight on one foot. If I actually ran these shoes, I would have every injury possible.Sending them back and ordering real Mizunos since I assume these are knockoffs. Again, don’t buy these as running shoes.

Way too small. Way Way too Small
For the value, for the name, and for the features this shoe is a no-show. I've had plenty of running shoes in the past. Nike Pegasus, Adidas Oregon, Brooks, and Asics Tiger. All fit right out of the box. I normally wear a size 11 wide. If there's a question about sizing I might try 11 1/2. Sketchers fit perfectly. In fact, I ordered a similar Sketchers to the Mizuno. Looks the same. Sole the same. Uppers were the same material. They just weren't Mizuno. At one time the Mizuno meant something. Sadly those days have passed. You can spend $60 on Sketchers or $120 on Mizuno. Mine were tight. The width was off. Not made for American feet I guess. The length was off too. Normally I can get a fingertip at least between the toe and tip of the shoe. With Mizuno, I tried cutting toenails really short to gain length. No go. My only way to make these work was to slice a cut from the first eyelet down about an inch. Then make a slit on the inside portion. They work now. Sad. Very sad. Not recommended for anyone at any time and anywhere.

Good shoe, pretty comfy, but the tongue is similar to a thin piece of cardboard.
I was excited to receive this, but when I tried it on, the tongue is very thin. I would never buy these again and only did because I have a pair of Wave Inspire 17's, which are much, much better. These became my bartending shoes because they are comfortable, yet I don't care if I get anything spilled on them.
