Unforgiven (Fallen)

I love this book! A great addition to the Fallen saga!
I should have bought this book sooner! I really enjoyed this book! It's really nice to hear Cam's story with Lilith! To be honest I was a little worried I wouldn't like it as much as the other Fallen books because of some of the reviews I've read. So many people have complained about Lilith's personality and I understand why, but to me it's not that bad. I feel like it was because of Lucifer's curse on her is what made her miserable in the beginning.I really enjoyed the plot, but sometimes I missed Luce and Daniel. They are mentioned a lot in this book. I really like that, but I get why some people are annoyed with it because this isn't their story it's Cam's. I noticed that Cam is different in this book. Some of his characteristics are lost like his bad-boy personality. It's one of the biggest things I missed about him.Every few chapters there will be an interlude of flashbacks of Cam and Lilith when the first met in Canaan three thousand years ago. Cam never told Lilith he was a fallen angel and rejected Lilith because he was afraid she wouldn't accept him for who he truly is.Throughout the story I loved watching Lilith transform throughout the story and then remembering her past. Another thing I really liked is the band called Revenge she she starts with Cam and two other guys Jean Rah and Luis. They sign up for battle of the bands. If you listen to the book on audible you can listen to the bands actual songs! YES! There is an EP you can listen to! It's also available on iTunes! The ending was kind of left open which makes me a little sad, but it ended strongly and I am satisfied! To be honest I still love Daniel and Luce's story more, but Cam really deserved the spotlight for once! In Rapture Cam said "I never asked for a happy ending." He got his happy ending after all!I'm really sad that there are no more Fallen books to read! I can now say that I have read all of the Fallen books!

Not What I Expected, But Still a Worthy Addition to Fallen Series
I know a lot of readers are extremely torn about whether or not to read this book. I was torn too at first because even though I always felt Cam got the short end of the stick in the last book, I also didn't understand why, after all this time, Lauren Kate was choosing now to revisit the Fallen world. But in the end, my love for Cam won out and I realized I had to read this book. While it wasn't exactly what I was expecting, I did enjoy the novel a lot and think fans of the series will too. The story was a pretty quick read and the pacing of the novel was good. There wasn't much action except at the end, but the conclusion made the book worthwhile. There were some things I couldn't get over, and because of that I had to reduce my rating by a star, but I do think this is a must-read for fans of the Fallen series. After finding out that Lilith, the mortal Cam fell in love with oh so long ago, is living in constant cycles of Hell, he literally makes a deal with the Devil and has 15 days to convince Lilith that he loves her and she loves him. You should be warned that this is not the same Cam we knows from the rest of the series. And to me, this is one of the downfalls of this novel. While Cam is still Cam in certain ways, and different in others, I just kept expecting a bit more from him. Obviously, his bad-boy, brooding ways weren't going to work in winning over Lilith, but he lost some of the characteristics that made me fall in love with his character in the beginning. I did greatly enjoy Lilith's character. She's tough, and I loved watching her transformation over the course of the story. However, the constant drama between her and Cam did become a bit tedious while reading, and I could have done without some of it. Regardless, I did love Lilith and Cam as a couple, especially when they first met because she wasn't swayed like the typical girls Cam surrounded himself with. She had a lot of sass and was feisty, and I loved it!One aspect of the story that I really enjoyed was the flashbacks to Cam and Lilith's life when they met the first time in Canaan. Lauren Kate shows exactly what happened between the characters and how their history shaped their characters in the present. The little interludes where we saw these flashbacks was a great way for the reader to learn more about Cam and Lilith's past, and I thought it was a unique way for Ms. Kate to go about revealing their story.Overall, the story wasn't exactly what I was expecting, and I did want more from Cam's story, but for the most part it was a very enjoyable read that I think will please most fans of the Fallen series. The ending is kind of left open, but it ends nicely, and it was nice for Cam to have his story all tied up.Happy reading :)

Thrilling and full of twists and leaving you praying for the ending your heart desires. Amazing how the story so easily becomes so real in the descriptive words. Must read.

Love story continued
I have read the whole series. A collection which came to light for me as the mother of a teen daughter and we felt strongly about seeing it to the end. I always appreciate a book that incorporate's legend, facts or historical truths. This book managed to work biblical and religious lure into the ongoing romance between Daniel and Lucy, as does the series as a whole.

Fallen Serie
