These are great for my dog! She is an aggressive chewer. I fill them with wet food and freeze so she had a daily cool and refreshing treat every afternoon! She loves them! I have enough to get me through an entire week. I have and will continue to buy these again!

This was recommended by our dog’s trainer to help with separation anxiety. We freeze some yogurt or peanut butter when we leave the house. So far it’s worked awesome!! Thx so much. He’s also an extreme chewer so that’s why we got the black kongs. 😊

My dog chews through everything it seems. We always watch him when he has a toy (as you should) because he seems to destroy it no matter what the toy company claims - “indestructible”, “tear proof”, “chew proof”, etc. we finally found that only the black Kongs are really tough for him. He is just over a year old. He is a chihuahua terrier mix. He will chew on it without treats in it or if we put peanut butter in it. We like to put peanut butter, stick some of his kibble to the peanut butter, Add a little more peanut butter and then freeze. When he needs to chill out from being a little “too puppy”, we give it to him. This is great esp in the summer in MS. We always watch him with it still, but we know he has a tougher time tearing a Kong up.

My 12 year old dog has always had this kind of Kong. I get her the extreme even though she's older now and only 10 pounds. She is quite the chewer. Her last Kong lasted at least 2 years and she chews it almost daily. I bought this pack of two as a replacement when her last one started coming apart. I could only find the right size for her in a pack of two and I'm glad I got that because the first Kong I gave her has already come apart into two pieces in less than a month. I feel like these must have been sitting in a warehouse for years or they are knock offs. There's no way it should have only lasted for less than a month. In the 10 years I've had her, she's only gone through maybe 4 Extreme Kongs, now 5.

Black Kongs are the only toys that my Australian cattle dog doesn't destroy. Many toys literally only last minutes. These have lasted for years. At the vet's advice, we fill them with pumpkin and freeze them to keep him occupied. Expensive but worth every penny.

Our 8 month old puppy is a chew maniac. Loves 2 other kongs we had for some time but eventually chewed through them both. Did some research and ordered these black ones because they’re rated strongest. was disappointed after a week he had managed to chew apart one. The rubber used IS impressively hard and I don’t blame Kong it’s just tough to find things he can chew on that he doesn’t destroy. Nonetheless, we’ll stick w/ Kong because what they do to distract our dog and give him something constructive to do is worth it. Just don’t expect these to be chew-proof. We’ve learned w/ this and many other toys and beds nothing is chew proof if you have an aggressive chewer.
