Had to DIY a replacement fence for my DeWalt contractor saw as I couldn't justify the cost of a new fence assembly for a good, but old table saw. Using 1.5" square aluminum tubing got the job done and these caps sealed the ends of the tubing very well. The side fins that go inside the tube are very firm, fit tightly, but, as per other reviews, I 'warmed'(not heated) up the fins and inserted them slowly and straight so the cap could center itself while cooling. The fins cooled and created the firmness to hold the caps in properly and look great.

Worked well and looks good

The first one wouldn’t sit tight to the end of the tube. When removed, the fins had broken off and jammed up under the head of the cap. So I removed the burrs from the tube and used a hot air gun on low to preheat the rest of the fins of the caps so they would be more flexible and that worked great. I didn’t remove the burrs on the last few and the heating method worked well anyway.

Measure outside of square tube you are plugging.Only needed 2 but come in 12’s so unless you produce a product, you will have a lifetime supply.
