Daddy Caddy Off the Bag: Tournament Time!: 1

This book is a novel about a group of pre teen kids and their life at the country club. It is filled with lessons for young golfers about the most important things in junior golf intertwined in a story. My son is 8 and we are reading it together. He identifies with some of the characters and it opens up a lot of conversations about golf and personal character. For example, last night we read a section about making mistakes. like most my son is really hard on himself when he makes mistakes. This section put mistakes into prospective with a conversation between the golf pro and the kids. It showed that pros make mistakes so we should expect to make some mistakes. One of the kids said so why should we get mad at ourselves for doing something we expect to do every once in a while. that really clicked with my son.There is no other book I can find like this. I notice it is listed as volume 1 I look forward to volume 2

Not quite what it appeared

Very awesome book for my son. He is 8 and been golfing for a few years. He really didnt understand the importance of golf. In his eyes all we ever did was hit a bunch of balls at the range and go home. This book has been so fun to read with him. This book has given him a completely different outlook just after reading chapter 1. He looked at me and said now I know why and I get it. It was the best feeling. It is such a great book I'm sure we will read it again and again. We have been learning some fun golf games with this book too.

All parents of golfers need to read this.
