Worth every penny
So much better than the one from urgent care!! Three days ago my 7yo fell and broke her wrist. The bone is 25 degrees unaligned. She's been in pain and uncomfortable and the urgent care sling didn't provide much support at all. It moved around and her hand kept sliding out.I invested in a new sling even though if she gets a half arm permanent cast instead of a full arm cast in a couple days after swelling goes down, she may not need it.It came a day early!!!!! I can't express how thankful I am!!!!!This one fits perfectly, cradles her arm. The strap around her neck is so soft. Her fingers hurt too much still to slip through the strap inside but with just her thumb through it, her arm doesn't slide out and stays securely in the sling. Her arm is much more secure and comfortable. I feel so much more comfortable sending her to school now.Worth $14!!!

Great sling
My 8 year old grandson broke his elbow. The sling from urgent care was garbage. Orthopedic office was going to write a prescription for a new one but I declined knowing I could do better and cheaper on Amazon. His cast goes up past elbow and previous sling didn’t cover whole cast. This sling did that well. It’s also a stretchy cotton that you can pull and tug on and it gives. The strap isn’t padded per se but it’s thicker and soft and he had no complaints or redness from it. It was long enough to cover his whole cast. He doesn’t like to use the finger slots. Velcro seems very durable. The only drawback is - and this is no discredit to the sling it’s just my lifestyle lol- dog hair sticks to this thing like white on rice. We have four dogs. One being a golden retriever. It’s just the texture and the color dog hair immediately clings to it. I’d still buy it again.

The best child arm sling!
I rarely leave feedback for the products but it is so good I had to do it. My daughter is 7 years old and few days ago she had an upper arm bone fracture falling on the playground. Doctor did not put us in cast due to bones being well aligned and instead we have to wear a sling for 6-8 weeks. All the slings that we tried, the one that we got in emergency room or at specialized bone and joints clinic were not immobilizing her arm and further more her arm kept slipping out of it all the time. Additionally the smallest size they had was still a little too big for her. Also the length of velcroe on a strap on all these were not long enough to shorten the strap to raise her arm higher. I decided to do a research to get a better solution for a small fractured arm and oh my! I ordered both sling and immobilizer and as soon as I opened the package I knew that it is a perfect one! It is extremely soft and arm/elbow rest perfectly inside. There is also a special place for thumb that prevents arm to move out of it and the fabric is so cushy that my daugther does not even notice she has smth on her arm. Immobilizer fixes the arm/elbow perfectly in its place and the size is just perfect, as if it is made for her. Once she goes to school I am not going to be worried that she can either have troubles in keeping sling on her arm or moving it away from her body accidentally. I am very happy with purchase and would recommend it to any parent who is looking for the best sling/immobilizer for their children.

Buy this one! Great Sling!
Buy this one! I tried a couple other slings i purchased off of Amazon and I had to return them. This one STAYS PUT. The arm is cradled in this stretchy soft sling so the arm does not slide forward. The strap around the neck is fairly padded and soft . When we used it around the house it didnt rub his neck at all but all day at school it did start to get red so we took off the padding that came from the hospital given sling, and ended up adding it. tThe best part is the velcro that secures it. its is VERY STRONG. You can hook the velcro once for the day and you do not have to keep adjusting it. My son uses the thumb loop and seems to make it feel more secure. it would be fine without using it too. I wanted to find a sling he didn't have to fuss with at school and it's been great.

Too large for my 5 year old
I bought this for my 5 year old son. It is a bit too large for him. He is tall for his age, but very thin. The issue is with the neck strap. Even if I make it as short as possible, it doesnt hold his arm high enough. The fit is just plain awkward. I haven't decided if I should return it or rig it up somehow. The strap is nicely padded and seems like it would be comfortable on the neck. I do not like the feeling of the fabric though. I wish it was cotton.

Good alternative to stiff hospital sling
I got this in combination with the company's immobilizer strap for my 9 year old to wear. He broke his upper humerus, but the only available slings at the hospital and orthopedist was an adult small that wasn't very comfortable. When used with the immobilizer strap, this does slide quite a bit more than the single unit that the hospital sent home, so we've been using it for a daytime sling. The sling is much softer and flexible than the one he originally had and with the two hand straps to hold it in place, it wasn't tearing up his hand webbing the way the original one did. We're going on 9 weeks in the sling, and the Velcro still works perfectly, so I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend the product.

Amazing - Highly recommended
My son received a sling at the hospital but it was horrible and his arm kept sliding out within minutes. He was constantly having to adjust it. This new sling is amazing because his arm stays in place. My only complaint is even though it is soft, his neck was getting some scratches so we added the next padding from the hospital sling and the issue was resolved. It does seem to run small. He is about 30 pounds so the charts recommend the toddler size. Since that was not available, we purchased the small size for and it was perfect.

fits 5' adult but too stretchy
I am way over the 90 pound limit listed in the description and 5' tall, but it fits me fine. It lost a star for being way too stretchy. Some stretchiness helps it to fit a variety of sizes, but my elbow sinks down into the fabric causing too much strain on my shoulder. Finding a sling for 5' adults is difficult; at least it fits me better than most slings. It even fits when I have on my big winter coat, but then I have difficulty putting it on. I've ordered the next larger size to see if it is better for outdoor winter use.

This is great my son is 5 he broke his collar bone and the hospital only had an adults triangle sling to supply us with, which he hated wearing brought this and it was so much more comfortable for him and supported him so much better. Worth paying out for

Good support
Bought for 5 yr old son who fractured his right collar bone. It was a great buy. The support given to him from hospital wasnot practical at all for school and my son wouldnt wear it. He quite liked the sling and actually wore it for full 3 weeks. The sling was light, provided good support, easily washable and really easy to put on.

A good product, if your child is on the smaller side.
It's a good product, which I would recommend, but be careful. If your child is on the taller side of the size guide, this may come up too small in the arm length.Buying this was urgent, as I couldn't find anything available locally, so we had to use it, while I ordered the next size up too.Double the cost.If you get the correct size, though, it is great value.

did the job
When I broke my wrist hospital only supplies standard cotton sling not really enough support. For something only required for a few weeks shop prices were ridiculous but this was a good price and proved useful.

... for a heavy plaster cast it appears to be useless. it pulls on the neck as a result
This maybe ok for a light weight cast but for a heavy plaster cast it appears to be useless. it pulls on the neck as a result .
