Sutton's Spinster: A Wicked Winters Spin-off Series (The Sinful Suttons Book 1)

I liked the book was entertaining and kept me awake to see what happens next.And it explains that all of the game hall in England did not have had reputation as they wanted you to believe

The hero is a mass of contradictions. Hard, often uncouth, unflinchingly loyal to family, brutal when necessary, and brought low by his desire for the heroine. She is a self-proclaimed, happy spinster eager to start her own gossip journal, and she is seeking the hero’s help as owner of a gaming hell. Sparks fly as these two stubborn souls clash.To complicate matters, the hero has recently inherited responsibility for his illegitimate twin daughters who were abandoned by their alcoholic mother upon the gaming hell steps. The hero needs a wife because his daughters are barely tame and need the guidance of a mother. Fortunately for the hero, the heroine makes herself an easy target to fill the role.Thus ensues a steamy marriage of convenience with a little intrigue thrown in. It is an entertaining read, but I was hoping that the heroine’s writing endeavor would have featured more prominently as a tool to drive the plot. It would have made the heroine more interesting because after the first several chapters, her wings were clipped first by her sister and then her new husband.

Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐Steam: 🔥🔥🔥After devouring all of the Wicked Winters by Scarlett Scott, I needed Jasper's story. He was the perfect bad boy that you knew would be devoted to his partner in that growly, dominant way. When Sutton's Spinster came out, I was so excited and so satisfied. Jasper Sutton the head of his family's gambling den needs help. Twin daughters he never knew have landed on his doorstep bringing chaos. Lady Octavia Alexander also needs help. She wants to start her own scandal journal and believes Jasper is just the man to help her. As the story enfolds, these two find that they may just be the answer to each other's problem. In doing so, they also ignite a passion to hot to tame.The best part about this book was Jasper. Yes, I did also love fierce and independent Octavia,  but Jasper brought all of the feels. There is something about a bad boy who loves his family that just has you wanting more.Like the Wicked Winters, the start of this new series focused on the Suttons perfectly balances the heat and the excitement. I loved watching the relationship between Octavia and Jasper develop. This is a quick book so it got right to the steamy parts without wasting too much time on unnecessary storyline.I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, fun read. It brings the range of emotions in a delightful snack size. You won't regret picking up a copy on Kindle Unlimited.

You are not going to be happy if you miss the opportunity to read this series. These characters are absolutely wonderful. Didn’t think I would find a family I could love more than the winters. But I was wrong.

Intriguing, complex, well written characters with great emotions and intelligence! A delightfully twisted storyline, with numerous subplots that leave you wondering where everyone will end up! Well done, Ms Scott! I look forward to reading more!

New author for me. Although the ending felt a bit rushed, her detail around the sensual aspects is superb. Even though the overall plot was not a surprise, there were some surprising details. I am left wanting to read the next book in the series.

Jasper runs a gaming hell , Octavia went to him for a partnership fir her scandal journal she wanted to start and have him partner with her. He refused but couldn’t help but kissing her. He told her to never come back. She didn’t listen and he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Jasper needed a wife to take car of his twin girl’s and so he sent a letter to Octavia’s brother in-law that she was at his gaming establishment and needed to talk to him. Winter show’s up, (Octavia’s brother in-law) he offers marriage so her reputation isn’t ruined. He forces her hand and their married. Jasper realizes all he can think about is his wife when he’s not with her. They both realize they love each other and when Octavia is almost killed by the twins motherJasper tells her how much he loves her.

Spinster Octavia goes to Jasper Sutton gaming house Sinners Palace to ask him to invest in her gossip journal. She sneaks out of her sister's house and her sister finds out she has spent a night with Jasper and demands he marry her. Jasper delights in t his marriage coercion and wants Octavia as his wife and to be a mother to his twin six year old daughters Anne and Elizabeth whose mother Tess abandoned them and brought them to Jasper at the Sinners Palace. The property to Sinners Palace II is burned down and a rival gaming family the Bradleys are suspected by Jasper. The Suttons give the Bradleys a beating and then Tim Bradley tells Jasper his wife Octavia is in danger. Jasper moves his family out of the Sinners Palace and in to a town house but Octavia is attacked and is cut with knife before Jasper arrives. Who saves Octavia and who attacked her? The Sinful Suttons has started out as steamy, sexy, hot romance series emotionally driven and filled with authentic Regency details. KUDOS!

I loved this story and read it in a day! What a great start to a new series! The characters were so engaging and from the complete opposite ends of society. Lady Octavia, a member of the aristocracy and Jasper from the tough part of the east end. The attraction between them was instant, although they had yet to acknowledge it themselves. The twins were exactly like young ones, picking up words you would rather them not! Octavia was a caring lady but she had something she was intent on accomplishing. There was a glimpse of a mystery, yet to be solved. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.

I have read the wicked winters series and loved them all , the characters the stories are just so enjoyable.This first of two spin offs is written so well I was hooked from page one , Jasper and Octavias story in my opinion is my favourite and thoroughly enjoyable and I know book two will be just as good (it’s on order already ) have to say my kindle is quite full of scarletts stories but there’s plenty of room for more 🙂👍

Book 1. This is a spin off from the wicked Winters. This first book is about the eldest brother Jasper. Lady Octavia a dedicated spinster wants to start a gossip & scandal paper, but Jasper doesn't like the idea as it would be unfair to his customers. He has just been landed with his 6yr old twin daughters (who he knew nothing about). He needs to find a wife, Lady Octavia is very annoying but he can't resist her

This is a wonderfully crafted start to this steamy spin-off series, that follows the great Wicked Winter's series of books. The characters are all amazingly portrayed, and have some brilliantly crafted trials to overcome.

I !loved this ...I was recommended this book by one of my favourite author's Caroline Lee and I can't thank her enough for introducing me to the Sutton family absolutely fantastic story; not the usual Lord and lady romance a proper East end scoundrel and tough young lady - highly recommend
