Smaller than expected
I couldn't find any size dimensions for this product but I had assumed that this was a decent sized compact that I could fit maybe 3-4 large eyeshadow pans in, this will only fit 2 of my eyeshadow pans, so it's not useful to me as a travel eyeshadow compact. I'll find a use for it, but for anyone considering this in the future, just know that the inside dimensions are slightly less than 2"x2". Perhaps the mistake is mine, but I do feel like the dimensions should have been noted somewhere on the product page here.

Great
Great idea for makeup. Tired of opening multiple compacts to find an eyeshadow color.

cute, fun, convenient
I like this compact. It's fun, and I filled it with product from old makeup kits that had only one or two colors I wear. Why carry around things I don't use? You just use a flat iron you use for your hair to melt the glue holding the color pan from your old kit. Warm up the flat iron, leave it open on the counter and lay the old kit on it a few seconds, then use a box cutter to pry the color and it's pan from the old holder. Try not to break the powder apart, but if you do, lay the color on a newspaper and put one or two drops of alcohol in it to magically create a new, perfect pan of colorThen you put it in the Trish McEvoy tray to see if there's enough magnetic sticking power to make it stay. Sadly, some of mine don't stick as well as I need. I have a few mini magnets lying around the house, but not enough for my fun makeup projects. I'll have to go out and search for the right ones. Flexible refrigerator magnets that you cut up are not strong enough for this purpose. Ultra-strong mini magnets are too strong (you don't want all the other pans to stick to it, too). You need something of medium strength and ultra thinness. The only thing I don't like about this is that these kits are smaller than they look! And the interior magnetized trays are not strong enough for all my pans of color and I have to go through this. The pans of color you order from Trish McEvoy are, of course, perfect. In sizes, in magnet strength, etc. But I bought this to help me with organizing my pans of color I already have. And I'm having alot of fun doing it. I just put the blush and eye colors I think I'll need when I'm out in the trays and go. It certainly cuts down on the size of my portable makeup kit in my purse! And for travel. Yayyyyy.
