The Singer self-threading hand sewing needles work very well.
I like the different needle sizes, and the needles are easy to use. Because I do a lot of hand sewing, I use them all the time.

Who knew needles could do this!
I'm a new quilter. Really new, like this is only the second quilt I have ever made, type of new quilter. So I spend literally 40 hours piecing together this quilt top and another 20 hours quilting it together. I get it all done and say not enough. I then proceed to add thousands of these little three inch lines so that it really looks quilted. I get done and it is thick, wonderful, and looks totally kick butt. Then I flip it over and I have thousands, no joke, thousands upon thousands of these one inch strings hanging off the back. My first thought, cut them all. Of course, all the strings already want to come undone, and cutting them won't help. Second thought, hide them. There's not enough string to actually thread through. Last thought, buy these needles. So here we are. After 50 hours of hiding strings, I now have a mediocre quilt that stole over 100 hours of my life. Easy to say it would have never been finished without these needles. They worked well. Easy to use and well priced. My only complaint is that they don't seem to be milled the same. Some of them have tighter openings and cut the string instead of pulling it through. I had two in the batch that I needed to throw away. Otherwise, I'm glad I had them and know next time to do the detailed work BEFORE I put the back on.

Helpful for people who can’t find those little needle holes
I used to tease my husband when he first needed reading glasses…until I needed them, then I realized it wasn’t so funny. One of my greatest challenges of seeing up-close now – even while wearing reading glasses – is threading needles. Whether it is hand sewing or using a sewing machine, I usually have to try a few times before getting the thread through the hole. It is SO frustrating! These assorted Singer self-threading hand needles are not perfect, but they help a lot. You simply slip the thread through the groove at the top of the needle and pull it down into the eye. Depending on the type of thread and needle you are using, sometimes the thread will break while trying to slip it through the groove. However, I have learned to expect this on occasion. I always thread the needle near the end of the thread instead of the middle so not very much thread is wasted if it does break. These Singer needles come in a cheap, plastic “dial-a-needle” case. You line up a small, hard-to-find opening with a compartment to slide out a needle (see picture). It would be better to have this opening identified somehow, especially considering people who are using these self-threading needles often can't see close-up very well. If you are not paying attention, needles can accidentally slide out of this opening. Personally, I'll just keep a few needles on my pin cushion instead.Although Singer is an American company, the needles are made in China. The price on Amazon was considerably cheaper than my local sewing store. Overall, I would recommend.

Tricky to get out and very small
I was excited to try this type of threaded needle, however I was left disappointed before I even used them by how hard it was to get them out of the container. All of the needles were disappointingly small and similar sized. They are in fact easier to thread once you learn how, However, the container was difficult (and I have had these types before) and the needles were all very short and tiny. I would not buy these again or recommend them.

Good for arthritis and mobility issues because the needles are easier to get in and out.
Because the dial on it twist to allow needles to go in and out it’s a lot easier for my senior citizen, arthritic hands to not drop them and not have to try and pull them out of paper. Plus the paper never holds. It always gets too full of holes so I like this style which is the first kind of needle holder that I ever bought. I’m sticking with it.

Hard to theead
Not as easy to use as I thought, there are ones out there easier, but anything is a help when you can't see that well...nice variety of sizes dispenser is easy to use, I find it hard to get the thread through the top with arthritic fingers.

Self threading sewing needles
Wish I had found these long ago. Makes burying those loose threads so much easier especially the black color. Easy to use and I won’t need to look for my reading glasses since the thread slips into the eye of the needles effortlessly.
