EDIT: Received the replacement knife in a few days. Tip not bent and the edge is definitely better, maybe not exactly 50/50, but close.My first use of this knife was cutting up raw chicken thigh meat and it mowed through those things like they were nothing. Pretty sharp right out of the box. For $30 this knife cuts like a dream and is the only knife(that I could find, and I did hours of extensive research, a lot of times you'll have the same exact knife by 2 or 3 different random Chinese knife companies, not the case here.) with this shape and handle design and I love it. It's the perfect length and is 4mm thick so it feels real solid in the hand and the grooves and handle make for a perfect holding position. It can handle anything from chopping vegetables to butchering meat. I wouldn't try cutting thick leg bones, but any other smaller bones or cartilage and joints, this knife can handle. Love this knife.So the gift box was damaged upon arrival. Upon further inspection the tip of the knife was slightly bent, maybe 10-15 degrees. Before buying this knife I watched the only YouTube review on it and the guy noticed while cutting an onion that the knife was not sharpened 50/50, that it was more 70/30. He chalked this up to being bad luck basically. Well, the knife I received also had this defective 70/30 sharpening. Even with all this nonsense I opted to get a replacement of the same exact knife because I like it so much. I'd just like a non-bent properly sharpened product. :::)Will report back when I get replacement.

Since I started working hubby has been helping out and doing more of the cooking. He really was not impressed with my knife collection and asked me to find him some thing sharp enough to cut through bones. I decided to go over the top and order him this beautiful cleaver.I am very impressed with it; not only is it super functional but it’s even more beautiful in person. Photos do it absolutely no justice.Its like no other knife i have owned before. The results are wonderful; The knife provides clean beautiful cuts consistently and nearly effortlessly every single time.It’s got a little bit of weight to it but still very comfortable to use.It’s gotten tons of use over the past couple of months and we have had no need to even sharpen it yet. It also came beautifully packaged; so it would make for a wonderful gift.Overall extremely pleased with this purchase.It even came with a really thick and durable safety case. I couldn’t be happier with it.I may purchase one for my brother-in-law for his birthday coming up.Totally worth the price tag

I was looking for something to chop up some pork that I smoke from time to time. I've been shredding it by hand and it's still very warm inside, so I wanted a meat clever kind of knife to help speed the process along. I happened upon this and it was on sale at about half price. I always read reviews and this one had a good rating and many people had good things to say about it, so I pulled the trigger.It arrived the next day in a nice box, packed well. For $15 I wasn't expecting what I found in the box. I figured it would be a decent knife, lots of people commented on the sharpness, but I wasn't expecting it to be that great... It was! Blew me out of the water...the heftiness, thickness, weight, sharpness, balance it was all that the reviews had said.I just had to check the sharpness, so I picked up the receipt that came in the Amazon box and you my surprise, it cut right through, smoothly. I've never seen a knife out of the box that can do that, especially one with cheap.The only complaint I would have is there were 2 spots along the edge (although very small, they were visible in the light) that looked to have a small chip. That's the only reason I dinged a star on the review. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review. I would actually rate this a 4.5, but you can't give half stars. My concern is how long this will hold up. It is a very thick knife, so the ability to sharpen in the future is there and should be for awhile, but how long the edge will hold up remains to be seen.I'll say this, despite the micro chips, I was so pleased with the knife, I ordered the chef's knife for my wife. Our kitchen set is older and I'm constantly having to sharpen them, so hopefully they new one will replace all those others. Chef's knife wasn't as big of a discount and it will take 5 days to get here instead of tomorrow, but it'll probably be worth the wait.

This knife is AWESOME!! it not only is very nice looking and came with a sheath its came VERY sharp..this knife is almost too good looking to use in my kitchen! But thats what i bought it for. It has some weight to it. Easy to handle and actually exceeded my expectations. I LOVE IT!! Im going to go back to this company and browse their other knives as well..weather your a chef like me and like to keep a score of different knives in my kitchen or if your just a knife collector i recommend this highly! If i had 3 thumbs id put them all up!

The media could not be loaded. This knife has a great weight to it. Feels really high quality and is comfortable to grip. It slices really smoothly and it’s SHARP. I really love the design and I think it would be a great gift for someone outdoorsy who likes to cook or hunt. The one critique I have is that it’s a little hard to chop herbs or mince garlic since the blade is curved. Other than that, it’s an awesome unique knife.

For being little it does the job

Well made knife that will take the abuse I will give it. Affordable, so I will get good use of it even if I wreck it.
