I'd read reviews on this Gshock upgrade and watched YouTube videos on it, but nothing quite prepares you for the quality of this case and strap.The links are held in with screws, something you'd more likely see on high end watches.The tools they supply are excellent quality and well worth hanging on to. All in all a quality product well worth the price in my opinion.Well done Amazon for stocking this great product.

I have two of Hontao mod cases for my black Casio GMA-S2100 watch - this one with a bracelet and another one with a rubber strap. Both of the mod cases make the watch look better overall than the standard plastic Casio case. The clasp seems secure and is the tolerances are good so the bracelet doesn’t feel too loose.However, the black coating on screws of these cases is super easy to scratch which exposed white base metal which is them visible against the rest of the black case. On this case I had to work on multiple screws - there are four that hold the watch in the case, four screws to remove one link from each side of the bracelet (2 per link), and four that hold the bracelet to the case that I needed to tighten because they were at different levels when I took the case out of the package, so some screws were not fully tightened at the factory.All of the screws are flathead not Phillips, which makes screwdriver more likely to slip, and the channel is not very deep. However, some of them seem a bit tight so you need to add a little effort which makes damaging the screw too easy. I used my mini screwdrivers and picked the best one for each type of the screw I was working on and yet several of them ended up with scratches on the black surface of the head.Overall I like the way this watch looks now. I prefer this case to the one with the rubber strap. I am very concerned about the durability of the black coating though. It seems like it can come off easily.Overall I think this case is nice. I’d rate it higher if I didn’t experience the issues with screws that I described.

This mod is very well executed. The finishing feels crisp and on point, we’ll worth the asking price. There are no sharp edges or miss-matched surfaces.The fitment feels more comfortable than it’s larger size sibling, the GA2100. Note that the Mini Oak is a smaller watch than the GA2100, but this case adds a few mm to the lug to lug distance. The mod will make the watch wear larger than the original OEM casing. I have large wrist, and I find this mod very comfortable. I currently own the larger GA series mod as well and I found this smaller case size more proportional interns dial size and bezel size.I have previously bought the earlier models of then 3rd gen for the larger GA2100 series in April, and that was a disappointment. The finishing left a lot of rough surfaces and shark edges and coroners. But months later I decided that give it another go with the rose gold GA mod. The quality control has improved drastically.I cannot recommend this mod enough. I currently own 3 of these and I cannot empathize enough the high fun factor level this mod brings

The quality is very nice and would recommend on that end. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get it to fit right on my wrist. It was either cutting off my circulation or it was sliding over my wrist bone. A half sized link would make this item better. The case also didn’t hug my wrist as much as I would’ve liked. It’s flared out over my 7” wrist more than I would like.

The instructions to complete the modification are super simple. The watch case is high quality and fits perfectly. Just double check you’re buying the correct one that matches the model number to the watch you’re modifying.
