ICD-9-CM Professional for Hospitals, Volumes 1, 2 & 3 2014 (Softbound)

This Professional Edition is MUCH BETTER than the Standard Edition of the book. The Professional version has both Definitions (DEF:) and Coding Tips (TIP:) (e.g., Sequence as a secondary diagnosis after...) after many of the codes. It also has ICD-10-CM Categories for frequently used codes. Medical and anatomical diagrams are located throughout this Professional Edition. None of these features are included in the Standard Edition. Had I used a Professional Edition in school, medical coding class would have been faster and easier.

The book was exactly as described; it was very inexpensive and I was surprised with the condition, because it looks like new. I purchased it because I need it for my HIT exam prep class. I thought it would be bigger, but the ICD-10-CM is much bigger. I like how codes are nicely colored, which makes searching much easier. The book has brief info about the ICD-9-CM, coding guidelines, and conventions, which helps understand it better. Also, delivery was very fast. Great buy.

Was in even better shape than described. My ICD-10-CM is from another publisher. I purchased this study for HCC coding and I really like the layout with anatomical drawings contained within appropriated sections of the Tabular List. Will definitely consider purchasing Optum for 2017.

I received what I ordered. Correct text, year, etc., however, it was very dirty. Every time I touched the book or turned pages my hands got "newsprint" black. Have you ever tried to wash a book? I've ordered from Amazon many other times and never had this problem.

I liked the overall format of the book, but was not happy with some of the chapters missing guidelines due to pending additions.

Bought this book for my ICD-9 class, it arrived pretty quickly which was great, the book was in great condition as well. Ingenix brand books are really easy to use and understand. If you are taking ICD-9 this is the only book I think you will need.
