Great Blade
I read some reviews about not being sharp. This blade is a stock blade and will NOT come razor sharp. If it did, you would probably lose a finger trying to open it up. You must first peen and hone this blade! Not a big deal if you know what your doing. I'm a beginner using a scythe and the peening process is tedious and takes a ton of time and I'm still learning. This is a beautiful blade and I haven't yet completed the sharpening process since I'm practicing on a cheaper not so nice blade. This one should last a lifetime and cut like a beast! :) Happy mowing!Remember the tang needs to be at the right angle too to fit your height. Just grab a blow torch and a vice and remember to shove a potato over the end of the blade to protect it. Google and Youtube will be your best friend if you are a beginner like me.

Sharp as hell. Get the 305mm No 112 Cigar Scythe Stone along with this and you'll be unstoppable.
I initially was skeptical about spending the money on the scythe blade, as I have an American style blade that merely needs to be sharpened, but this is 10x sharper, and takes out grass from knee-high to over 6 feet tall. It slices through grass quickly and without effort. It's perfect for people with allergies who don't want to kick up a bunch of pollen. I'm using it with an old busted american style snathe that I've taped up and have been maintaining pasture land and areas around my chicken coop.

Easy to use
It does a good job on small stem weeds and great job on grass. It's very thin, so use caution in areas with obstructions like large rocks and branches. Sharpens and maintains well. Much easier to get the hang of than an american pattern, though it's got a shorter depth of cut than american as a tradeoff.

1st broke, 2nd dull
This is our 2nd scythe. The 1st one broke in less than a year after not much use. I need to contact company for warranty. As for the 2nd one, opposing to 1st scythe, this one is absolutely dull and requires peening and sharpening, unusable until we get perming jig. Disappointing!

Austrian blade what fits an american style snath.
An incredibly lightweight and sharp tool that fits the SN9 snath. Best for wide open grasses and light weeds. It will need peening and honing to keep it fit for a lawn.
