Nice large tray
I really like this bird feeder tray. I hang it underneath of my feeders to catch all the spilled fallen seed. It's large enough that it catches just about all of seed. I was having issues with rodents coming to eat the fallen seed from the ground and this took care of the problem. The birds even eat the seed out of the tray.

Great Tray For Catching Seed From Wire Feeders!
I have a wire mesh feeder for my backyard birds, but the wind etc often knocked smaller seeds out onto my patio and I also got tired of sweeping out empty shells the birds discarded after eating. I also didn’t want to feed the squirrels with expensive seed that would fall out onto the ground. This tray attached easily, was not too flimsy for birds to perch on, or to blow off in high winds. Also, it eliminates having to clean up discarded shells for those who don’t use a shell-less seed mix-just dump out the tray! I’m very happy with my purchase.

It’s good, as pictured.
Couldn’t give 5* because the chains/hooks are able to rust.

Helps to keep seed off lawn
I bought this because the feeder I use it on is situated on a pole so I couldn’t use one of the wider ones. It also had the shortest length of chain and turned out to be just the right length for my needs. Does a good job of catching seed falling from the feeder. Perfectly? No. It does keep excess seed and hulls to a minimum while also providing a platform for other birds. Don’t know about others situation, but this works well for my needs.

Catches seeds - at first
I hung this under my seed feeder. It caught the seeds discarded by the birds. Then the birds ate from the tray and threw the seeds they didn’t want to the ground! The sides need to be higher.

Great seed catching tray
I looked at alot of products before buying this one and glad I bought it. I wanted a large tray to catch some of the seeds to help alleviate mess under feeder and this helps! Birds also use tray to feed so has dual purpose.

Product may be incompatible with some bird feeders
Very good quality. However, product is not compatible for use with Brome squirrel proof bird feeders; weight of tray closes ports so birds cannot access bird seed. Suggest product comment to warn purchasers

Good quality/generous size
I bought this to hook onto the cage part of a squirrel proof fat ball feeder to catch all the crumbs. It was easily installed and is wide enough to catch the crumbs really well. The birds can take the crumbs from there as well with no need to get on the ground. Other types of feeders come with the tray already in place, but they are usually far too small so I had to buy this hanging feeder to act as a crumb catcher.

Good size and does catch catch seed
I use under my tube bird feeders by hooking to the bottom as there are areas available. Saves alot of mess on ground and birds can feed straight from the tray as well. I had been looking for a large size as previous ones to small on diameter so didnt catch most of the seed. Was worth paying a little extra for, i bought 2.

Good buy…could be slightly better.
Sturdy and does the job of catching the overflow and mess from bird feeders. Only draw back is that it also collects the rain. A design improvement would maybe be to add a few tiny drain holes so water does not collect because when it does the pan tilts and spills contents anyways.
