STM Bags DP-0930-1 15 Inch Turtle Hardshell Laptop Case for MacBook Pro

Terrible product. Instead of the case being flat or preferably having a convex shape, the two sides are concave and flex inwards toward the laptop.This actually increases the risk of damage and my Macbook Pro got dented while in this "Protective Case" . Too bad I can't hold the manufacturer/ seller responsible for the $800 repair.

I don't want to come off too ridiculous but this is just about the most amazing sleeve out there. I attend a University and have to lug my laptop everywhere I go and it's seen some harsh days so I decided to spring for this sleeve when I got my new Macbook Pro 15" but I couldn't find many reviews out there. However, I am really glad I took the leap of faith! This sleeve fits incredibly tight and snug (and not in a bad way where it will slide out if you even budge it). The elastic closure is incredibly smart and while somebody commented that it seems like it wouldn't last in the long run, you'd have to be snapping the darn thing and using it as a bungee cord to jump off something for it to wear out. I just don't see the validity in their statement. The elastic cord is innovative and I like it because I don't have to noisily unzip a sleeve or extremely loudly un-velcro a strap just to pull out my laptop. Instead, I probably save somewhere around 8 seconds every time I have to grab my laptop or put it away in the sleeve because it's as easy as one-two seconds to undo the two cords. I've been using it and just used it to lug it around all day and absolutely love it! The case is hard and definitely will withstand some abuse which was a dealbreaker for me since I don't know about you but neoprene just doesn't cut it with me. You might as well wrap up your Macbook Pro (that you spent a decent chunk of change on) with a one inch thick blanket. That's what I think of neoprene.I hope STM reads this because I love this product and definitely recommend it, 5 and a half stars for this amazing product!

This is a great affordable case, i bought this for my 13inch macbook and it was great, fitted nicely and also gave me peace of mind when traveling around the world. So i bought the 15inch version for my new macbook and it is also great. I did also buy a skin for my macbook for added protection, but this means the case is now very tight but it does fit. Overall with both cases it is nice and protected. All i need now is a waterproof bag/case and my mac book pro would be worthy of a trip through the amazon.

I purchased this unit many months ago.I have had many neoprene cases, and a few sleeves for my MBP, but nothing has been better protection than this RadTech Turtle Hard Shell Case.My late 08 MacBook Pro fits in it perfectly, and the strength of the case ensures nothing will knick the edges, or let it get crunched by weight, or a bad drop.This is the only case I use, and have a feeling it will even out last the MBP!Serious protection, and well worth every cent!I could not be more impressed, and give this item a huge 5STARS!

This case feels like it is made of Kevlar with a fuzzy inside. You slip the laptop in, secure the two bungie straps and BAM you have a nice durable slip case.The only thing I don't like about it is it is a bit bulky for a thin 15" MacBook Pro Unibody (2011). I purchased a Speck hard (matte) shell as well, and I now have double protection.Very nice design!
