Easy to install, wife will still bitch.
Installed these babies on my 2017 Silverado 2500 HD LT Diesel a couple days ago, very sturdy and look nice. They get you about 4 inches closer to the ground which is good if you have a lift. The lift on my truck is only 4” so it works out well for me, naturally my wife did some bitching about how they should be closer to the ground, as i didn’t want steps and she made me get some because I put a lift on the truck and she thinks it’s too tall now. So this was the compromise and of course she isn’t satisfied, but she’s never happy so pay no attention to that. The install on the driver side took about 20 minutes alone. The passenger side took me about 2 hours as I decided not to drop the DEF tank thinking I was an expert installer, big mistake. If you have a ratchet end wrench’s it’s a lot easier I’m sure. I used a closed end wrench and had to tighten one bolt about 1/16 turn at a time and pinched my fingers which was quite miserable. All said and done, great value for the money and they’re well built and pretty easy to install.

Can’t beat these for the cost!
Just bought these for my new 2018 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab...Pro’s: So, after reading many reviews I caved! So they arrived as others said. Box was large, heavy, and pretty banged up. Thought parts would be missing. Very pleased to see after opening all was there and the bars were individually wrapped VERY well. Actually overkill, but we all like that. Not a scratch on them. All parts there. As others said, they are heavy and two people would go faster. I got mine done in about 1 hour and 15 min alone. I propped one end up with a block of styrofoam they were wrapped in, and mounted the opposite end. Then went back and did all hand tight, then wrenched. The fit is spot on. No bending, prying etc like some mentioned. They fit perfect! And look awesome as well.Cons: the directions were very faded, copied a lot I assume. Went on the manufacturer web and loaded on my iPad. perfect! So not really a con.Lastly, my wife does not like themes and while I could care less, I actually thought about her reason and I suppose it’s valid. She does not like the manufacturer logo laser cut into the step pads, WHY? Because if we go out together and she wears heels, the heel will go thru the stars and ruin her shoes, or worse, trip her up to fall out face first. I am very handy, and may cover the steps with stainless steel plates. We’ll see.To sum...they are great. Very heavy duty, yes, you can actually stand on they and I’m 220 lbs, and they look great!

Great product, passenger side installation is a little more difficult on the diesel.
I put these on a 2018 3500 Silverado Duramax. They showed up in a big cardboard box that had an adequate amount of styrofoam and packing to prevent any degree of damage occuring to them. The driver's side lined up perfectly and mounted quickly. Having help is recommended because these are pretty solid. The passenger side was more challenging. The instructions say to drop the whole DEF tank in order to install the special bracket for the front mount. I started to do this but quickly realized it was going to be more work. I was able to install the special front angle bracket with a 13mm end wrench and did not have to drop the tank. If you have great big hands it may prove to be a little more challenging. A long ratcheting 13mm wrench would be a huge help too! You do have to remove the plastic cover over the tank and notch it before reinstallation. I used a hacksaw to notch it and that part was no big deal. Really happy with these, they look great and they don't flinch hardly at all when you put some weight on them. I would absolutely buy and install them again even though the installation was a little tougher than I had anticipated.

Maybe the best looking running board on the market.
These running boards look AMAZING. I've got a black Silverado and the running boards make it look gnarly. I've had several people ask me about them in the two weeks I've had them. From a looks perspective alone, I think they're the most attractive running boards on the market. A close second are running boards made by N-Fab.Build quality is excellent. They're really sturdy, bolt on (almost) perfectly and are heavy enough for me to believe that they'll hold all of the weight they say they will.Installation isn't easy, but it isn't super hard either. I did this by myself in my driveway and it took about two hours. The driver's side running board took about 10 minutes, and the passenger side took a decent amount of elbow grease and time. Honestly, this is probably a project that works better if you have two people rather than one, and that was my mistake. The other is that the passenger side running board isn't exactly a perfect fit. If you follow their instructions you'll be just shy of a snug fit on the last bolt. The solution I had was to hang the running board from the 2nd-4th top bolts, ease the first top bolt in with the adapter, then put the bottom bolts in finger tight. Once that was done, I tightened all of the other bolts with a torque wrench to secure the running board. I wish that had been in the instructions and it probably would have saved me about 45 minutes. That said, this was my first running board install and that might be common knowledge.
