This is definitely worth the money!!! Also it is very basic, solid and protective.
I never thought that people would try to steal my parents RV...I looked at several 5th Wheel Pin Locks.Many of them I could break. They were not very solid.You get what you pay for.I think if you want to keep your RV this should be the least expensive lock you should buy.They are about $100 dollars. The nice thing also is that if the lock ever rusts out you can replace it with anew heavy duty one from your local locksmith.

Perfect for My Application
How vulnerable is your RV to theft? This lock will ease your mind. Used by trucking companies to not only secure trailers but to identify them as not available for hauling, this lock is perfect for the goose neck/fifth wheel type hitch. It is easy to put on and take off, is easy to store when the unit is being hauled, and absolutely prevents the unit from being hooked up. It would take power tools to subvert this lock and for our use in a remote area with no readily available power, it gives us peace of mind during those off-season periods.

It is heavy duty and works very well. It is very secure!
I have to pull the handle outward from the sides to get it to go over the kingpin.

Great value
Easy to use. The only catch is, the carry handle sticks thru the king pin hole so you have to spread the handle a bit in order to properly attach it. I like that it’s red and has a ribbon hanging so hopefully you don’t forget it’s there.

Works with wedge for Turning Point pinbox
My pinbox has a rear pivot point and uses a wedge to lock it to the hitch to allow it to pivot. Because of this wedge, the conical shaped locks will not fit. I then researched this type of lock which is essentially a large cylinder that the king pin sits inside. There are cheaper versions of this type but they were not very well reviewed with some people saying they break open if hit with the hitch. This lock won't do that. It is solidly made, has a carry handle and is simple to use. Plus it works with the pinboxes that rotate like my Lippert turning point.

Seems incredibly Strong
Seems very beefy and lock is pretty buried so it can't be cut.

Difficult to use, horrible lock
You can not get this lock in place because how the handle is attached. We had to take the handle off. I have the locking mechanism, it is just the end of a Master padlock and it has a very loose mount. Secure when locked but overall, I am not happy with this king pin lock
