Ernie Ball Medium Scale Regular Slinky Nickel Wound Bass Guitar Strings, 45-105 Gauge (P02856)

Super bright sounding and very comfortable fretting and finger plucking. Took a couple days for E & A to stay in tune but it was very minor and now no problems what so ever. Will buy again!

Changed out my original 3 year old strings and these are very good. Sounds great.

We all know how these classic slinky strings perform and feel. But with so many different short scale basses out there, it’s easy to make a mistake (like I did) and buy the short scale version. Note, these should work great for most 30” / string through body / 4 in line headstock basses. The short scale version is too short on the E. So, if you have a ss bass like the one I just described, get these medium scale strings! Hopefully I can save someone on a wrong a decision by learning from my mistake.

I’ve been using Slinky strings for decades, many different gauges, and I currently exclusively use Regular Slinky. They seem to last longer for me than other nickel-wound strings at the price point.

I put these on a Fender 60s Classic Vibe Mustang and they fit perfectly. It's difficult to find medium-scale round-wound bass strings. You need medium-scale because many (of the good) Mustang basses have through-body strings at the bridge, so short-scale are too short. Anyway, these are nice and twangy, which is my preference over flat-wounds. (It's a pity that Ernie Ball doesn't make different gauge medium-scale strings; I'd probably like them a little heavier than these regular 45-105s but they'll be fine.)

These strings are of Medium scale. Those who doesn't want to play regular thick strings can opt for these strings. I felt convenient to play. I'm using this brand for the first time and pretty impressed with the strings and they sound really good. As of now I cannot say about rust resistance and string durability.
