These quick reference cards are a convenient and fun learning tool. Each card collection is laminated for water resistance and help together by a grommet.

These are not the survival cards you're looking for...
I like UST survival products but was disappointed in these cards. There are only 5, double-sided cards riveted together by the cheapest rivet job on the planet. The amount of useful information that's on the cards could be easily transcribed to a single 3x5 card and laminated. Save your money.

Raindrops are falling on my head -- thank you B.J. Thomas -- and the heads-up from my Cloud Cards!
When you are outdoors, hiking, hunting or fishing, or are in survival mode after TSHTF, and don't have access to your "trusted" local weatherman's weather forecast or The Weather Channel's broadcasts, it can be helpful to have information that is clear, concise, easy-to-read and understand about what the clouds overhead, or those approaching in the distance, might be bringing your way in terms of weather changes. That is exactly what the Ultimate Survival Technologies Cloud Cards give you in a small, easy-to-carry/pack, durable, water-resistant product. The Cloud Cards show you pictures of the different cloud formations in the sky, gives you the name of the specific cloud formation, describes whether a particular cloud formation is found at high altitudes, mid-level, or lower levels in the sky, and what type of weather changes that cloud type normally brings. If the Cloud Cards say the clouds you see headed towards your position bring a drop in temperature and rain, you can seek or set-up shelter to keep you dry. If the Cloud Cards say the clouds you see approaching you are accompanied by hazardous weather with potential for tornado or high straight-line winds, often accompanied by hail and heavy rainfall, you know not to try and set-up your shelter (which could be blown away or destroyed by the winds and hailstones), and to seek shelter in a valley, a ravine, in other lower-lying terrain, or even in a ditch, if that is the lowest ground available to you, staying alert for flash-flooding from heavy rains which could accompany a tornado or high straight-line wind storm (even if it doesn't rain where you are sheltering). You can also check the Cloud Cards to see if the approaching cloud formation might be bringing rapidly dropping temperatures and rainfall or snow, depending on your elevation, so that you can be prepared by changing into the appropriate protective clothing. You may not be a trained meteorologist, but with the information found on your Cloud Cards, you can sound, and possibly think, like one . . . . which might save your life, and the lives of the people with you, someday. The one shortcoming I have found with the Ultimate Survival Technologies Cloud Cards would be, if your rations have almost run out and you haven't been successful fishing, hunting, or snaring any fish, fowl, or game, large or small, and foraging all around the surrounding grounds for any edible berries, fruits, plants, underground tubers, roots, grubs, worms, or other edible insects, with their water-resistant coating, the Cloud Cards would be very difficult to chew and swallow (and no amount of Tabasco sauce can change that -- if you still have any Tabasco sauce available), and they offer little or no nutritional value. But at least you could know what the weather would be, thanks to the Cloud Cards!

OK Information. Flawed Production and Assembly.
The information on the cards appears correct, but...1. The lamination on two of the cards is defective.2. The cards are assembled with a "sturdy grommet" which is too sturdy. It was installed so tight that you risk damaging the cards when you attempt to rotate them around the grommet. The alternative is to fold and crease the cards so that they fold up 45 degrees on the left -- which is certain to damage the already dodgy lamination. I carefully reamed out the grommet and used a zip-tie to hold the cards together and still allow the cards to be used as -- well -- cards!

Helpful for Scouting Group First Aid Kit
This is a good first aid reference to keep in a first aid kit for our Explorer troop. Not super extensive and not super durable (like an old school library card in thickness, not a credit card).Covers good topics:1st Aid Basics, Survey The Scene, ABCs of 1st Aid, Bleeding, Shock, Broken Bones, Burns, Rashes (e.g. poison ivy), Stings, and Bites. Info is good though light, so this is more a reminder on what to do vs. a comprehensive lesson.Fits nicely in our first aid kit to help out when the time comes.Recommend.

Very helpful
I know some of the reviews mention these cards are very basic, and for novices like me, I find them very helpful. I read over them off and on to keep these things in mind for off grid circumstances. If I had children or grand children, I would practice these techniques with them as it is never to early to learn how to survive. My cards are also very well made.

Don’t wast your time and money.
I really liked the idea of a water proof “deck of cards,” that showed you the basics of lighting a fire. Unfortunately, this is just a campfire for dummies card set. It tells how to stack wood, how to start with small tinder, etc. something anyone should know. There is no info or instructions on how to start a fire without a lighter, matches or flint and steel. I was disappointed and ended up tossing it out. I wouldn’t recommend this unless you’ve never seen a camp fire in your life. Like you were an alien in this planet and needed cereal box level info.

Awesome set great for kids
Pretty cool. I take them on hikes with my son and he loves it cause he takes the cards and tries to figure out what animal it is. They are good quality and can take a beating from a 6 year old

Not Helpful at All
Seriously disappointed in the product and disappointed UST would put their name on such a waste of an item. I was hoping to get something that was a "how to" with instructions. Nothing here you would bring with you. Better off with ProKnot cards by John Sherry. Not sure how they could copywrite such low level common knowlegde information. Unfortunately makes me reluctant to get more of these card sets of different info.

Great way to learn to map read
We all forget things really easily. Keep this close to your compass and you can refresh your knowledge in a few minutes. Quite weather resistant but don't go dropping them in a river

Handy to have
Some handy knots to have in your arsenal, however a couple of knots were very hard to follow. Nice and compact to fit in a wallet.
