Keeps feet cool
Notice a difference wearing these to work. Where i walked a small amount.Feet felt less hot. This does have a decent cushioned sole. Personally, I prefer less cushioned for non-hiking wear but I could see this being useful during winter tooMildly slippery on very smooth floors

Perfect socks for walking/hiking shoes
I purchased three pairs of these socks to wear with my walking/hiking shoes. I like the low profile and I like that the top of the heel has an extra layer of cushioning to minimize the risk of irritation from the top heel edge of the shoe. Know that these are thicker than dress socks, but thinner than what I wear with my hiking boots.Being wool, they can be worn for several days without the stink factor, if they are left to air dry overnight. I hand washed them in the sink while traveling, and with a towel roll dry to pick up most of the water and being hung to dry, they were wearable the next day with just a tiny bit of moisture. These are the usual super comfy Smartwool socks - how could you go wrong?

Surprisingly Great!
These "no show" anklet socks are really great. I have worn the first pair I received for two, 4.5 mile, hard walks. I like Merrell hiking shoes for my walks and I always buy excellent socks. Taking care of my feet is top priority. I was skeptical of spending so much (21.90) for one pair of anklet style socks since you can get 8 pair for the same price... and which I have done often in the past. But those types of anklet socks are not adequately padded and no matter how great my shoes are my feet will begin to ache after my walks (average of 5 miles, 5 times a week). I don't have the issue in the winter/cooler months because wearing heavy, padded socks is appropriate for that weather. Out of desperation I decided to see if there just might be a high quality anklet... and yes! It is this one. Like I said, I was skeptical so I only bought one pair but after two days of being happy with it I came back and bought more. It is totally worth the money and I definitely recommend!

Comfortable
These are some of the nicest socks that I own. Both attractive and comfortable. I would order more if they weren’t out of stock.

An expensive splurge but very comfortable and warm!
I really like these socks for their comfort and warmth. However, they are not cheap and I'm not sure I would buy another pair unless they go on sale. That being said, they are quality socks, and if you can afford the price...enjoy!

It’s SmartWool…
SmartWool products are great - they keep your feet warm and dry, but not sweaty. I got these for an upcoming trip to Alaska and can’t wait to wear them! They’re soft, comfortable, and have a nice amount of cushion. I’m usually a size 8.5-9 in shoes and ordered a medium.

Awesome
I’ve said this before in other reviews, because my feet are smaller and slimmer than most guys I find the ladies design way more comfortable. They are amazing, they fit great keep you cool when training or hiking and are a great fit for those guys with smaller feet.
