Both the stick and the light telescope to reach metallic objects. The light in on an end and the other end is a strong magnet. The stick telescopes and it has a smaller magnetic head. Both are great. Note the light will not work until the light head is removed to let the first-time user remove a round plastic tab on top of the batteries. The light/magnet is as long as an iPhone 15. The other piece is about an inch and a quarter shorter. Great value.

Nice addition to work shop. Light is bright and magnet is strong. The lights adjustable head is handy. It’s first use was to retrieve a bolt lost under an outboard boat engine head and cowling. The 2nd telescoping magnet has a smaller head to get into tight places. I should have picked one of these up years ago.

Gave this to my granddaughter’s husband for Christmas last year. He really liked it, came in handy for different things.

Works… but is flimsy. I used it for one repair job on my car and one recovery job on a dropped screw. Then the telescoping handle felt wonky, the flashlight stopped working as it had a short in it already and then the telescoping handle snapped, just like they did on every portable radio antenna ever made as they are the exact same incredibly thin metal product. But a cool and fun idea. Just not made for longevity at all.

This is a small durable flashlight that’s magnetic not only on the bottom but also the lit end. It’s not the brightest flashlight by any means and one should not be mistaking it for lighting up a room or pathway. This handy flashlight is intended to give hands-free light to an area that is blocked from overhead lighting allowing you to use the tools of your trade with added lighting. The magnetic lit head will carry or hold small nuts, bolts, washers so you don’t fuss about loosing or dropping them into the abyss, but if you did you can easily retrieve them with the included magnetic antenna. The only downfall is the 4 LR44 button batteries used to light the compact, magnetic, aiming antenna head. Not sure how long they last and buying a premium dated 5yr guaranteed 4 pack will set you back $6.00 but less if you opt for cheaper.
