Great birthday gift for my wife.
Not knowing the show as my wife does, she had to explain who all the characters were and so forth. My wife throughly enjoyed the film and loved the cameos. To the best part of the film was "Bubble".I thought for a type of movie I would never watch it was alot better than I thought. Don't know why the critics slagged it so? But like rubbish like "Avengers Endgame"?

Plays sharply, sound, and picture is good.
Bought brand new and sealed. Tested it out first then will fully watch it later. Excellent quality. Had to pay separate for shipping. Arrived a day after my regular purchase of over $25 but considered over used and library items.

Saffi Is Still Hot
I'm not going to mince words-this movie is hysterical. This is one of the funniest films released this year along with "The Brothers Grimsby" and "The Bronze". If you saw those films you'll know where my sense of humor lies which means I recommend this with reservations. I saw the entire run of "Ab Fab" in its original early Nineties incarnation on Comedy Central but didn't really see the revival because my brother said it wasn't very good. Jennifer Saunders (Edina Monsoon) and Joanna Lumley (Patsy Stone) are comic dynamite. Aside from their characters' debauchery they share greed and avarice. If these two didn't have each other nobody else would. Saunders, who created the series with Dawn French and wrote the script for this film, wisely cedes most of the good lines and situations to Lumley. I think my favorite scene is when Patsy gets tased by a flight attendant totally unfazed my the electric jolt rather finding it enjoyable. A lot of the cultural references may fly over your head if you're not a hopeless Anglophile or follow the world of high fashion but it shouldn't impede your enjoyment. Welcome back, darlings! What took you so long, Sweetie?

it was OK
Marshall and Bo have lost their "ministry". They are on the run from the Scientology group who is out to kill them. Marshall is going to have "sex reassignment" surgery. So he cannot afford to pay the house payments anymore. Eddie and Patsy have to find another way to earn money. It is rumored to Patsy that Kate Moss is looking for a new PR company. Eddie unwittingly lets the cat out of the bag before she can secure Kate. Eddie tips off her rival (the woman who bought Eddie's satellite company and stole Twiggy from Eddie back when). They attend the same party as Kate to get to Kate. In their (physical) fight to get to her they knock Kate Moss off a ledge and into the Thames River. Eddie gets blamed. The world hates Eddie and Patsy. Patsy gets fired. They flee the country before charges are brought against Eddie for murder. The shenanigans continue. The movie was OK. It had a few fun lines. It was more about reminiscing than anything. It was more about paying homage to the characters for the audience to say "I remember that" or "I know what that means" as I am a fan. There were lots of jokes referencing plot lines in the shows. For example, the one where Patsy gets tasered and likes it. Etc. I just felt like those "Sex in the City" movies which were more like TV Movie specials than actual movies. Americans have high expectations for their $20 at the movies. We don't want nostalgia. We want entertainment. And yes this was entertaining over all but it was not a home run I don't think. It was just another TV special, although I think the last 3 in the TV series installments were more original and entertaining than this one.
