HOMCOM L Shaped Desk, 94.5" x 23.5" x 64.75", White

I was very skeptical about buying this desk after reading some of the reviews but am happy with my final decision. The desk arrived a week earlier than scheduled and none of the parts were damaged even though parts of the boxes (desk came in two boxes) were starting to tear. It was really difficult to assemble once you get to the end. It takes two people to assemble the shelves and desk together. You want to be very careful not to bend any of the parts. Other than the assembly process, this has been a great purchase! It's a large and comfortable desk and looks great! The shelves are sturdy enough that I'm not worried about placing valuables on the top. There were negative reviews on the quality of the desk, but for the price, surface area, and sleek look you get, I think you get a great deal! Would definitely recommend!

This wasn't mindbogglingly difficult to put together. Was hesitant to purchase at first because so many people said they struggled but we went for it anyways. After reading the reviews and keeping others comments in mind it went smoothly. THIS IS A TWO PERSON JOB THOUGH! And the one mistake on the instructions was mislabeling one of the parts but we were making sure to pay attention based on what we had read from other people. Just pay attention to the way the pieces look in the instructions and what you're working with in front of you.The biggest takeaway from other reviews was assembling the two pieces near the end, instead of when the instructions wanted us to. We put the top half of the shelves together first, then the bottom half of the shelves and the desk piece. We got the desk in position on top of the bottom half of the shelves and took the top half of the shelves and positioned the pole through the desk. Then finished screwed everything together.Some of the holes were a little difficult to get screws into but this happens with any build like this and we still got it together without having to redrill anything. It took a little over an hour but we expected this with how many pieces there were. In the end, despite having to adjust the way we put it together, I'd still say it was worth it. It's aesthetically pleasing, fits nicely in our space, and it's sturdy.

I accidentally ordered two of these, but wasn't able to cancel one of the orders in time. I had fully intended to return one of them, but after my fiancé and I put one together I had to keep the second one! It's pretty much a two person job-the directions have one typo- they tell you to connect D where it should be a B piece. D is at the end. Other than that, the directions were good and it wasn't particularly difficult to put together. It's a huge, beautiful desk and shelf. We love them both! The stickers that they give you to cover the holes will not stay on at all, but I don't care.

Once set up, the desk is GREAT. But I've never had such a hard time building something in my life. The instructions weren't difficult to follow, but one of my parts was mislabeled with the wrong letter so I got very frustrated and nearly screwed up the entire thing. Usually I put furniture together on my own with no problem, but I definitely needed another set of hands to help me out with this desk. Because of the rotational quality of this desk, you're going to need 2 people to move it around since it's VERY wobbly when you move it. Once situated, it's pretty sturdy. I wouldn't recommend putting anything SUPER heavy on top of it (sometimes I climb desks when I'm attaching something to a wall nearby or something like that) and I felt like the desk was going to collapse or break in half when even putting only half of my body weight on it or so (I'm 110 lbs).Other than these issues, I've gotten lots of compliments on the desk and it looks amazing. But it's no party setting it up. I think I almost cried trying to get it finished.

TLDR: The item is not that well constructed and I'm sure could easily be destroyed through poor handling or whatever the case may be and assistance with replacements will be poor or unlikely or unhelpful. Please consider this before ordering. I am sure there are better options.I bought this item over a month ago and was unable to assemble it immediately. Partway through assembly, I noticed that there was damage, I reached out to customer service for a replacement they answered promptly, saying that I could be sent a replacement and would not need anything else. They have been respectful but unhelpful. It's been over a month or about a month and I still have not received the replacement. I followed up several times due to lack of updates only to be told my replacement was lost and a new one would be sent in 48 hours. I still have not received that. I am frustrated and tired of having a partially assembled desk that I cannot fully use. I reached out inquiring about a refund so I can repurchase the item instead and was told to send it back in the original boxes which I no longer have because of what I was told regarding the replacement. The problems seems endless and for the price I paid I wanted it to work out and make it worth what I paid for but it's too much and it's been going on for so long. I'm exhausted .
