Great summary on Lean! - The journey from required mindset to the individual tools which may help in the specific improvement area. A book which sum's up the most important fields of Lean.

This edition gets longer as more useful material is added. The first edition was 165 pages and the fifth double the length. The format remains a "lean" telephone directory where you can look up a subject (excellent indices) that you want to learn about and get a concise, well documented and illustrated explanation. You can alternatively read it front to back and it follows the same logical structure of chapters with the subjects arranged in the right order for implementing lean in an industrial organisation. Chapter numbers are missing on the page headers and the page headings are in smaller font than the 4th edition. Many subjects and chapters have been extensively rewritten and based on my "telephone directory" sampling improved for the better. As a consultant in operations management and a teacher of the same for MBA students, this is the text I give to my clients and my students. It is sufficiently broad to cover all but concise enough to be a time efficient tool. Highly recommended for browsers or students.
